Extremely friendly staff and great food in their restaurant. The property is remote and my family found it extremely peaceful. The ghost town is great and has some small shops in them where the staff are friendly. Rooms are great and the beds are super comfy!
We will be back!!! Also I hope to see the orange cat in the lobby!!
This is the most bizarre place I have ever stayed. It literally is the physical manifestation of mental illness. I really don’t understand what this place is. It is a roadside tourist trap of the lowest quality that you can stay overnight at. The only thing that saved us was a lovely dinner in Revelstoke. The Bell family has collected and preserved a tremendous amount of artifacts and paraphernalia, but I fear they have lost touch with the times and reality. While I was absolutely blown away with the collections of cars, carriages, trains, household goods, tools, etc of days gone by what I think they need is a curator who knows how to make some sense of it all. Honestly it scared the crap out of me. The place has tremendous potential and in it’s day was probably fabulous. Today it is crazy Aunt Mary who needs more supervision for her own safety. It needs an intervention.
This place is an EXPERIENCE and that's why you go. It's like stepping back in time. They were very clear there was no AC or WIFI in the rooms but we still found our room comfortable and it had what we needed, plus it had a spectacular view of the lake.
It truly is like taking a step back in time. The restaurant isn't really great but it's totally what you'd expect from something that's kind of like a small town diner - but it was all we needed. The kids had lots to do and we enjoyed exploring the ghost town.
Honestly, stay here just for a night so that you can experience it for yourself.

Beautiful location, easy to get to. Not a cookie cutter place, family style. Lots of antiques, kids pool and beach.
Restaurant on site. 15 min from main town and 20 min to National Park.
We would stay again.

Nice area around the property. Rooms were cozy and homely. Restaurant was terrible and overpriced, you could tell the food was made from frozen
I loved the atmosphere. Very rustic charm. Loved the furniture in the bedroom. The only thing that we were not a fan of was the bed was a coil mattress so not too comfortable.
We loved our stay, it was quaint, beautiful grounds, fun ghost town!, and soooo clean. There is no air conditioning but the room cooled perfectly at night and we didn't miss wifi at all. The only downside to the experience was the restaurant, the food was terrible - and you are a captive audience as it's the only place to eat for miles. They are really missing an opportunity to make that restaurant something special, and add to the experience - we would go back again to stay but wouldn't dine there.
Absolutely loved the "ghost town", though I'd describe it as a curated outdoor museum of the area. It was truly a wonderful tribute. I also LOVED that the property was right on a lake, nestled in the mountains, with a train regularly travelling by. 💯 would stay here again.
Rooms are nice and clean. The Ghost Town was great and we couldn't believe the amount of artifacts. You could aoend a great deal of time here looking at everything.
