Cozy cloudy weekend.

I stayed the weekend to be close to the beach and explore this end of Barra. Unfortunately it was kinda cloudy and rainy, but the room was comfortable. Also, I could swear that the hotel had a pool, because I always check the pool filter when searching and this hotel was listed, but it in fact doesn’t have a pool. Also, note that the outlets in the room are 220v. There was no advisory prior to checkin. Luckily my devices were dual voltage.

The hotel room was really small, I only enjoyed the shower. The hotel restaurant was marginal, the food was not fresh at times and the menu had no variety. Sodas were old and not carbonated. The front desk receptionists were very friendly and helpful. Overall, it was okay but not what I expected.

Good place to enjoy Rio

The hotel is mix with abis hotel line , the pool was close due to COVID-19 but all bar and restaurants been open , room clean once every second Day , the hotel location is very nice just by the beach and 5 min walk to the center of event where u can find many bars and restaurants It is a very secure area feel much different from other areas of Rio I will say best beach in the area

Location location location! You can’t get closer to the beach than this! Rooms have everything you need, nothing fancy just functional. Restaurant service was too slow

An enjoyable stay in Rio

Great value for this property. Located at Station 1, the beach was across the street. The breakfast buffet was very good. A great selection and variety of food. The staff was excellent and always pleasant. The room was a bit small, but since we were only there for sleeping, it was perfect. The shower was great. A nice swimming pool, and fitness center. We were very pleased with the hotel location, however, there is a small charge to park, but nothing ridiculous (Approximately $7.00/night) and the valet staff very nice as well.

Great place

This was a great place to stay while I was attending a conference at the convention center. There was excellent food close by (I heard that there were not very many food options at the hotels close to the convention center). Public transit and taxis were both easily accessible from this location. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. My only complaint about that rooms was that their power outlets were only compatible with hexagonal plugs and not square ones. Staff was pretty helpful and the breakfast was good.

Nice clean hotel on the beach in the Barra

This hotel has comfortable rooms that are a little larger than Ibis Hotels and the lobby is nicer than most Ibis. However I think that for the price this hotel charges the breakfast should be free or at least quite a bit cheaper. Forty reais is an expensive breakfast at Brazilian hotels.

Very nice hotel, clearly new, very clean with good size rooms and facing a beautiful beach. There is a little "padaria" next door which does excellent lunches, dinners and snacks. My only complaint is that the wheechair accessible rooms are all lined up against the building air conditioner and have a constant buzz and made it difficult for me to sleep. The staff were very attentive and helpful and moved me to a higher room which was a little better.

Many front desk employees do not speak English although they may say that they do. One employee,Daniel, was a welcome exception. The hotel caters primarily to Portuguese speaking business travelers. They do not exchange foreign money. The closest ATM is blocks away. The hotel is a distance from downtown Rio and a long cab ride from the airport.

Good location, new hotel

New hotel inaugurated just before 2014 World Cup. Very friendly and helpful staff. Although overall comfortable, the rooms are small compared with other Mercure hotels in Brasil. King sized bed is actually two joined single beds.
