"As soon as we arrived at her hotel the staff were friendly and welcoming offering us a cooling towelette on a blisteringly hot day. Our room even though it reminded me of the Red room from Twin Peaks (which is fine as i’m a fan) was clean spacious and had excellent air con (a blessing). The pool was very welcome and we spent a good few hours enjoying being able to have a dip and read by the pool surrounded by lush vegetation and enjoying a lovely glass of wine or two. The close proximity to the Medieval City itself was amazing and allowed us to explore it deeply. And the views for the fireworks over the castle were amazing from the hotel garden. This hotel would usually be a bit out of budget for us but because of a mix up with a previous booking we had a voucher which allowed us a taste of slight luxury. Thanks to all the staff and the hotel god for making our stay so special."
