Free breakfast is served daily. Public spaces have free WiFi. Oakfield Lodge Guest House Stockport also features a terrace, a garden, and complimentary newspapers in the lobby.
This 3-star Stockport bed & breakfast is smoke free.
The rooms were clean and warm with tea/coffee facilities, towels, bathrooms close by. The staff were lovely and helped sort us 2 adjoining rooms with a bathroom close by as the family room with ensuite that Hotels.com sold to us dows not exist. sold to
This B&B is exceptional, full of character, spacious, clean, welcoming, run fantastically well by a lovely family - I highly recommend. The full English breakfast was exceptional and served by the granddaughter so lovingly and efficiently. Will be staying again every time in the Stockport area from now on. I want to live there permanently now !!!!
The building is lovely, furnishings reflect the age of the property. Lots of clutter/ornaments everywhere.
Very spacious rooms and very clean however the staff have no personable skills at all.
I wrote a private email to hotel to notify them that they need to be mindful of talking loudly in the evenings as I was kept awake until late and that I found the staff resented me being there as they didnât chat or smile at all and I felt unwelcome. I said I wrote a personal email so as not to publically complain but so they could improve their customer experience. I received a rude email back telling me I was grumpy and did nothing but complain all week, which was highly untrue.
I even provided them with a loaf of sourdough bread as I donât tolerate a lot of normal bread and didnât want to expect them to provide it although they did offer to.
Other guests said they call it faulty towers as they are so grumpy and have no people skills.
I would not return here as the staff are grumpy and rude and have no consideration for the noise they make in the evenings/night and the fact that guests may be trying to sleep.
If you park your car in the wrong place you are told to move it andâ if you donât know how to park ask.â
I expect a rude reply on this review.
If staff tried being friendly and keeping the noise down I would highly recommend this b and b for value for money.
If I had not recieved such a rude reply to my personal email I would not be leaving a review on here.
Quite an old fashioned property but clean and tidy.
As I was in the attic area the shower was difficult to control.
Breakfast good and 2 eateries close by for evening meal
We had a family room, 3 adults and 2 children, at the last minute we had to bring the dog, Lorraine was very accommodating, we stayed for 2 nights and only got charged ÂŁ10 extra for the dog, the beds were very comfortable and the breakfast was lovely, would definitely stay here again. Excellent parking at the hotel.
The guesthouse was adequate for one night. The room was very large with a double & 2 single beds, clean but shabby and dated. The en-suite had a good walk in shower but the room was very narrow. Good quality toilet paper! Breakfast was ok, not much offered if you didnât want a full English, but Iâm more of a continental breakfast person. Seemed to be a lack of professionalism at reception, breakfast etc which along with the other criticisms wouldnât make me rush back but it served the purpose for us, just wasnât a memorable experience.
