Hotel was staffed with friendly people. Accommodations felt standard for Hilton. However sheets had a weird smell (possibly just the cleaning process), and one of the comforters had a dried brown blob (blood?). There was still hair in the bathroom corners and in the bedroom in the carpet. Little Market downstairs was well stocked with small things to eat and drink as well as personal care items and alcohol for purchase. Room service only ran for four hours for dinner service and charged 18$ a head for a sit down breakfast with fewer options than old buffet style. In hotel dinner was expensive and service while sit down was okay until the end when our server ended up talking to the table behind us well after we were ready for boxes, this lead to the other server in the restaurant to get us our boxes and eventually the bill as he continued to chit chat to the other table. The pool was as open 0800-2200 and was clean with attached bathrooms and towels provided. For the event we attended while we stayed it was a little more than I wanted to pay but within good distances to train stations so we could avoid city traffic. Overall: Friendly desk staff, Well stocked market, rooms not as clean as I would’ve expected for price, poor breakfast options, limited room service hours, nice pool.

Better AC, would have been a great stay

Main problem with the room was the Air Conditioning. Checked in the room was 77 degrees. Turned the ac down to 70, waited 3 hours still 77. Called the front desk they promptly sent up a tech. He looked at the stat and said everything is ok. I said no it’s 77, no reason to argue. Had trouble sleeping, the room was sticky and humid. Temp only got down to 75 during the night. Did not enjoy the stay

The rooms are spacious even tho we have three people. Area around the hotel is quiet and very walkable. Five minute walk to Stony Brook campus Social Behavioral Science Building. Parents of the University could take school shuttle bus from LIRR to Hotel. They also have a big parking lot for hotel customer. Daily coffee and beverage is served every morning. There is a restaurant near lobby and some refreshment can be found near the restaurant for purchase. Room has closet and dresser for putting away clothes. Toiletries are well stocked. Staffs are friendly and helpful and welcoming. Don’t shy away to reach out. Rooms are quiet and clean. Would definitely go back!
