A gem of an hotel

A wonderful hotel on The Lido. Perfect for a city/beach break. Lovely staff, a very nice pool area. Although, we preferred the Blue Moon beach club. Water taxis too and from Venice and the airport. Our only criticism was the pillows were quite hard. Not our choice. Also, their ‘cosy’ cheapest room was roomy and had everything we needed. No need to spend more on a bigger room. We didn’t add breakfast, quite expensive and there are restaurants and cafes around.

Before reading below please understand the staff, location and bar were great. The rooftop bar has a wonderful view and dinner was delicious. However, we were on the 4th floor and we realized on our first night that the AC did not cool off the room. I am unsure if other rooms on our floor were ever cooler or if other floors have it better but ours did not cool off. At the end of the night we did not look forward to sleep and were left awake by the loud system and awoke sweating each night. On the second night I called the front desk to ask if they were aware of any issues with our system and they said it was running at its max. I explained further that it might be at the max however it wasn’t cooling and it was very hot. I was told by the receptionist that, “that’s just how it is” and my husband decided not to push the situation further. It was not absurdly hot throughout the days max of 74 degrees and lows of 62 degrees however the room felt as though it heated up more around 2 AM - 3 AM. My husband and I both could not figure out why and the AC unit didn’t turn off trying to cool off the room and just not being able to. Opening the windows at night may have helped but there were several mosquitos from the first night in the room as well as opening any window any amount turns off the AC unit.

This was a first stay in Lido. A water taxi ride away from Venice. The room was such a nice pleasant surprise and experience. Staff was friendly and walking the area was a pleasure. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Venice to stay here. Can’t say enough good things about this property.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel for our honeymoon. We were treated like royalty and it was a beautiful experience. The staff is so friendly and helpful. My only regret is having to checkout. Wish we could have stayed longer. We were happy that we chose to stay on Lido island. It was very different from the busy main islands of Venice but also very easy to travel to the main islands to explore. Thank you to all the staff for making our honeymoon magical.

The property is very beautiful, quiet and relaxing. The surrounding area is quiet too and very calm. The hotel restaurant is very good. There are many nice restaurants and boutique shops in the area that are walking distance from the hotel. The con is the distance from the Venice train terminus.

Lovely modern spacious bedrooms. Friendly helpful staff. A free drink. Unfortunately the pool and rooftop restaurant were closed. The main restaurant was being used for an event. The gym was tiny and not air conditioned.

This was an amazing place. The young man at the desk helped us with water shuttles to the next Idland. He helped us get to the airport. It was incredible what he did for us. Not only was this a beautiful safe place but they are ready to meet your every need. I wish every place we stay in could be like this.

Amazing Hotel; Amazing Location

This is one of the best hotels I've ever had the pleasure of staying at. It is TRULY a luxury hotel with everything anyone could want. And it is a somewhat historic place dating back into the early 1900s. The places is gorgeously decorated outside and inside. The staff is friendly and competent. And the location, on Lido Island, is sublime with restaurants, cafes, and little stores along the street where the hotel is situated. It's expensive, but if you can afford it, then it's worth every penny.

Great place

We liked this hotel, they greeted us with a much needed spritz. The location on Lido, away from the hustle and bustle of Venice, was very nice. The ferry and water taxi services made it very easy to come and go as we pleased. There were many dining options in the area, and we ate at the hotel, which was very good. Highly recommend.

Amazing hotel and amazing location. Island of Lido is a secret haven off the busy island of Venice, but only a quick boat ride away. It’s great to come back to the quiet and peaceful island of Lido and the hotel was exceptional for service and the rooftop bar was beautiful.

The staff at this property is beyond superb. My wife and I enjoyed everything. Staff is extremely friendly and go above and beyond. My 2nd year spending my anniversary with this property. This is an excellent hotel, originally opened in the early 1900s, and it retains its "Belle Epoque" elegance. Rooms have been modernized, and are quiet and comfortable. This property is not oceanfront, but is in the town center, with an easy walk to both the beach and the water buses. Excellent breakfast and staff. Beautiful views from rooftop, and a large swimming pool. Lido is far less crowded than Venice island, yet easy access. Would definitely stay again.
