Central to Venice and excellent communication from the property managers. Somewhat difficult to find. The property is clean and functional. But it smells strongly of mildew or mold and it is a bit ill maintained.
The woman who met us to show us the apartment was extremely nice and helpful.
However, the apartment is supposed to be non smoking and smelled (especially the bedrooms) very badly of cigarettes. It wasn't terribly dirty but there were areas that I could tell hadn't been touched since the last person (soap dish and filth in the shower (pictured)). Also there were dark areas around windows that were probably residues from mold (pictured) which should have at least been painted over in an attempt to hide.
With that said, the apartment is very large for the price and does have a kitchen. Old and run down but it works if you want to make your own food.
I am one that prioritizes cleanliness and I do not recommend this place. Not sure what criteria Travelocity is using to rank these but shame on them for giving this 5 stars.
I have no word to stress the disappointment and frustration I and my family suffered as a result of your service, or the lack there of.
I arrived exactly as I filled out the form at 10am this morning. I called to see if the apartment was ready, and was met was a woman who hardly spoke English. I was asked to call back many times only to be told to wait until 1pm. My family patiently waited at the train station until 1pm before making our way to the apartment with thr address and location may provided by your confirmation (Hotel Details Venice Ae Maschere Sestiere Cannaregio 1376/A, Venice, 30121, IT Phone: +393512594460). I was only able to find a back alley with a locked gate (no lock box or code access lock). I called for many times and was onlu met with the same woman who could not make any sense of her English. I then called Hotels.com directly for assistance and was put on hold for an hours only to be told that even the Hotels.com staff was not able to find anyone who speaks English to get thr matters resolved. I tried one last time to call the +39 number again multiple times only to have the same woman hung up on me.
Even my phone was out of battery after literally hours on the phone getting no where, skyrocketing roaming charge aside.
By that time, my wife and 3 children had been waiting on the street of a strange city in a foreign country for more than 5 hours and we only had a few hours to stay in Venice before handinf back to Toronto first thing the next morning
El apartamento esta ubicado en una zona cerca de todo, limpiez muy bien y los anfitriones muy amables. El problema es el aire acondicionado que no funciona
