There was not a lot of space in the front for as many cars as come through this area. There were no carts to help with luggage because people are not returning them and no one was going to get them back. Valet said they did not feel that was their job. My check-in was fine and everyone that I encountered was very nice. There was no hot water when I took a shower at 11:30 at night so we had to change rooms. I did get a late check out, but there was no offer for any discount for having no hot water in my room. That would have been very nice because it was a huge inconvenience to get a cold shower and have to change rooms at 11:30 at night when I was ready to go to bed. When I went to get breakfast at 10 o’clock on Monday morning, there were three hard pancakes that I could not even bite into and no other hot food. I had to go out and buy my breakfast. Another opportunity to discount my bill since I feel that I paid for something I did not get. The hotel is beautiful, no doubt, but they need to invest a little more in having people to help customers in ways they are not being helped. All in all, I paid way too much money for what I got.

My stay was very nice! I appreciate the clean room and warm welcome. The breakfast was amazing and plenty of variety. Thank you! I know there is not much that one can do regarding this situation, but I would point out I had a lot of long hair stuck to my blanket (static). Not a big deal just more hair than I would have liked. Again, I really enjoyed my stay and would come back again.

Spacious oceanfront rooms in great location

Stayed on 8th floor oceanfront room, very spacious, comfortable and clean. Feels like a boutique hotel. Service was excellent, we arrived early on day of check-in, before heading to beach ordered lunch at Placery and it was really good with great view of beach. Comfortable beds, very roomy shower. The only flaw is there was only 1 working elevator so there was a wait every time.

Had to constantly wait for elevators, apparently instead of maintenance during down season, someone thought peak travel season was better. Out of 3 elevators only 1 was working while were there 1 was working. 13 story hotel, 1 elevator peak season.. SMH

You are paying for the location on Atlantic Ave oceanfront. I was expecting more amenities such as a larger pool with wait service, toiletry kit and robes for use in room. Property was very clean but don’t expect Hyatt Regency amenities. Pool was small, limited seating, free breakfast was just mediocre but replenished constantly and the only parking is valet which was quick and courteous. Staff was friendly.

If you're planning a trip to Virginia Beach, stay here. Very nice new hotel that is in a quiet portion of the strip, but still within easy walking distance of dining and shopping. You won't be disappointed.
