"We stayed there for one night. The hotel was clean and the staff were very kind. It was important for me that it be pet-friendly, and this hotel was, which I really appreciated. I was very satisfied with my stay. The location was also very convenient and close to downtown."

"Ok, to be fair I stayed here for my son's fitness race, not to gamble. The rooms are ok, beds not super comfy, I am a plush bed girl though. You should not have to walk through casino security to access the hotel. Everytime my son got I'D, and I would have my water bottle inspected. When we checked in, the guy was sighing and seemed visibly irritated. We checked out late, we're told our room was non refundable, which was true, but they wouldn't entertain a partial refund, we checked out at 1:30. Not many food options inside, the coffee place is about beside the hard rock Cafe. I wouldn't go back, even to gamble."

"Check in was appalling. Took 2 hours to get our bags to our room - they'd been delivered to another room. No real apology for that, to boot! Room was tired - patched wall paper, chips in furniture, stained bath enamel (really the bathroom needed a full refurb); We had a room with a view over the canal and towards the Parliament (room 404) but the windows were filthy. We didn't eat at the restaurant "Zoe" because the reviews were bad, but there are plenty of fine dining restaurants nearby. Checkout was swift and friendly. House keeping staff were excellent. This is a poor Fairmont, trading on the Fairmont name but failing to deliver Fairmont standards that we'd enjoyed at other Fairmont Hotels - eg Seattle, Boston, St Andrews etc. Very disappointing."
