Room booked for a family of 4, only given 2 towels. Called and asked for some to be brought up after visiting the pool so we could have showers. After an hour and a half of waiting i finally went to the front desk to collect some myself. When they finally brought some up the lady seemed really annoyed when i told her i got some myself.

The hotel room was clean and had all the amenities we needed; we appreciated the kitchen and laundry facilities, as well as the cafe onsite. The room was not very sound proof, and we could hear noise from outside as well as the room above late at night. A lot of interesting people walking around outside the hotel late at night, but it’s the same in all bigger downtown areas.

Cons: Just across the street from a shelter. There were many occasions I felt unsafe walking around with my baby in her stroller and my elderly parents i.e. person clearly on drug blocking the side walk, person yelling towards pedestrians etc. Pros: Centrally located. Just a few blocks away from the byward market and then a short stroll to the parliment hill. Well equipped with cookware and utensils - exceeded expectation. One bedroom is very spacious.

The location of the hotel was excellent! It was walkable to every place we visited. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. What we didn’t like is the room needs some TLC. More attention to cleaning. The bathroom fan, baseboards and under the bathroom mirror needs dusting and a little more attention. The bed needs a mattress pad and fitted bedsheets not just a sheet. The ceiling and walls needs to be wiped as there were cobwebs on the ceiling and walls. The backsplash in the kitchen by the stove needs to be wiped down. The cleaners need to pay a bit more attention to the details in the room.

We stayed in a modern two-bedroom apartment and it was perfect for our family. The unit was spacious, clean, and came with a full kitchen, which made meal prep super convenient. The location in downtown Ottawa is hard to beat — walking distance to major attractions, shops, and restaurants. A few downsides to note: the swimming pool was very busy during our stay, which made it less relaxing. They no longer have a hot tub, which was a bit disappointing. The in-suite washer and dryer could use an upgrade — they worked but felt dated and slow. Parking is also quite pricey, so keep that in mind if you’re driving. Overall, a great choice for families who want space and convenience in the heart of the city, just expect a few minor trade-offs.

Please don’t book this place to stay—I really regret it. The area around the hotel feels unsafe, and walking near it is very uncomfortable. The room itself was poorly prepared: the toilet was dirty, the bedsheet had hair on it, and the air filter was full of dust, clearly not changed for a long time. On top of that, the air conditioning didn’t work properly—you couldn’t adjust it, and the room was uncomfortably cold.

I did NOT enjoy my stay!!! We paid for a 2 bed 2 bath suite!! Our very stark and sterile suite was Terrible!!!! And only 1 bath… I feel like it was a bait and switch! The room felt impersonal and like it was rushed to finish! There were 4 of us in the room and ONE very uncomfortable side chair!! Some were forced to sit at the dining table to watch a movie!!! Huge fail!! I actually want a refund!!! It felt like a college dorm room!!! We have stayed here many times in the Classic Suite with no issues…. I was told that all rooms are being converted to the Modern Suite,,.. what a shame, I guess I will have to look for a new place to stay :(
