"Excellent place to stay! The front desk staff were very pleasant and welcoming. The only downside was the breakfast - it had limited options and not enough variety. Other than that, it was a great experience, and I would stay here again."

"The restaurant in the lobby (Zoe’s?) was clearly not intended as anything more than a lounge. Eating off tables so low you need to double over is far from what should be presented at a hotel of the reputation of the Chateau Laurier. Also, our server was either a complete rookie or careless in the extreme. Water was slopped all over our table and I was the one wiping it up, not the server who was standing and observing my efforts. She later refilled our water in a glass which had been used for orange juice and I reminded her she was filling a dirty glass. Surely clean glasses is not an exorbitant expectation."

"They have virtually everything one would need in the hotel and in your room. The rooms are spacious and fully stocked with every kitchen utensil, appliance and space one needs. The free laundry room on the fourth floor has several washers and dryers with detergent and fabric softener. Our room had an HP computer, monitor and printer which we didn't need but if one needed it, you don't have to go to the business center. The hotel located is in walking distance of Parliament Hill, the Sparks Street Mall, National Arts Centre, Rideau Canal and any of the downtown businesses. The only wish I have is a parking lot that is easier to access. It's very tight."
