Hotel was simple, great price compared to other hotels in the area! Room was cleaned every day, maintaining standards. Staff were helpful, and a tram and bus stop was a 2 minute walk from the hotel, very convenient.

Room was underground with no natural light, had incredibly loud noises from the plumbing all day and night. There was an awful smell coming from the room, like sewage for the last 2 days we were there. The towels were not replaced each day meaning we had to keep asking for more. The showe had a steep step to get in and out, and leaked water absolutley everywhere whenever used. Would not stay here again.

The Alfred Hotel was walking distance to museums, some shopping, and some dining options. If you want to be close to The Red-Light District do not stay here. We spent about $400 on Ubers.

Facilities were ok. Room size was fine. However, I barely slept. The walls were paper thin and I could hear conversations in all neighbouring rooms including the room above me clear as day, unfortunately one of which included a bunch of friends getting drunk into the early hours. The sound of doors slamming down the corridor was constant. Secondary to this is the hotel have double charged me for the room despite paying in advance via Expedia. Still trying to resolve that issue with Expedia.
