Custom Log Lake House on Wynne Lake with Pontoon Boat. Summer 1 week Sat to Sat

Come up north with your family to the scenic Minnesota woodlands and enjoy 'Iron Ridge', our private log home, beach, and dock on the peaceful shores of Wynne Lake. Easy to find and most convenient of the vacation rental homes, we are on the same side of the lake and just one mile down the road from Giants Ridge Ski Resort and the renown Quarry and Legends Golf Courses. 'Iron Ridge' is a custom home built with massive red pine logs and situated on a spacious wooded lot with private lakeshore and dock. A large secure garage and extensive paved driveway provide plenty of safe, off-road parking for all types of vehicles, trailers or campers.

The main level features a well equipped kitchen with everything you'll need (dishwasher, microwave, crock-pot, blender, etc). The dining area (with large table and center island), living room with fieldstone fireplace), and wrap-around covered deck all provide gorgeous views of the lake. Main level bedrooms boast comfortable King size beds, and the main bathroom has a shower and jacuzzi (jetted) tub. The living room sofa pulls out to a queen sleeper.

The lower level is the perfect place for entertaining and family fun. It features a wet bar/kitchen area with sink, refrigerator, large counter/bar with stools and 2 pub tables. From here, walk out to the patio area which overlooks and is only steps from the lake. The patio highlights a large outdoor Hot Tub (Nov-April Closed), patio furniture for dining, sunning or lounging, gas grill, and log porch swing. Step back inside and just down the hallway you'll find a full bathroom complete with a shower, changing room and cedar sauna. Also down this hallway is a utility room with washer, dryer, and iron.

Both downstairs bedrooms are equipped with bunk beds: one with 2 full beds (full over full bunk), and one with 4 twin beds ( 2 twin over twin bunks). The lower level family room is great for relaxing. Along with a second fireplace, this room has a large TV complete with Sat/Dish TV, XBox 360, and DVD/VCR player. You'll also find books for all ages, board games, XBox games, and an extensive DVD collection. The Queen sofa sleeper.

Quiet Up North Getaway

This place was everything we were looking for for a quiet get away. We enjoyed everything the hosts offered — pontoon, hot tub, kayaks, small rocky beach for kids to be kids and although we were initially shocked there was only one TV in the whole house, we welcomed it as it forced us to think about not being on electronic devices and to instead do campfires and family board games. We enjoyed every minute!

Giants Ridge Ski Trip

This house was perfect for our 2 day ski trip to Gaints Ridge. The house was clean and has a well stocked kitchen, everything that we needed for our stay. The layout of the house allows space for people to hang out both upstairs and downstairs. Everything went well. I have stayed here before and will definitely stay here again.

The location was great and the hosts were excellent. Close to Giants Ridge and the hosts responded quickly to a few back and forth emails. The cabin was easy to check into and opening and closing instructions were clear. They do a nice job of getting you informed about fun things to do in the area. I had 2 issues with my stay. First, the hot tub was closed for the winter, but it did not mention that in the listing. We had all packed swimsuits in anticipation of a nice hot tub after skiing, only to find out it was closed for the winter. Wouldn’t have been a deal breaker, just would have been nice to know in advance. The biggest issue for me was the cleanliness of the property. It did not appear to have been deep cleaned in between rentals. The sheets and beds were very clean, but the cabinets and carpets had to be wiped down and vacuumed before we felt more comfortable. There was debris visible under the couch, hair in the bathroom, crumbs on the floor and so much dust throughout. It put a damper on an otherwise great property,

friends get-a-way

We stayed at Iron Ridge for 2 nights in January. There were 4 couples and the home accommodated us well. One couple did need to sleep on single bunk beds. There were large spaces with comfortable seating and a large table to hang out. The property and access to the lake was wonderful. We walked on the lake to Giants ridge to watch a ski race. It's proximity to the ski area is perfect. Thanks for a fun weekend stay!

Winter in Northern Minnesota

This is a great location for skiing at Giants Ridge. The beds were comfortable. The house could use a little TLC. It is a few years old. Those that stayed downstairs said there was a bad smell from the laundry room. Here is my one beef with many houses that say they sleep 10 - there are not chairs to seat 10 around a table. If you are sleeping 10 you are probably eating with 10, All in all, this is a great house. The owner was quick to fix a major problem.

We had a great time here! Everyone had their own comfy bed, lots of room to spread out and relax or gather and play games. The view was beautiful and had a great deck. Would highly recommend staying here!
