"Certainly an individual hotel in an individual building, especially if you are used to 'big chain' groups. Quirky with truly welcoming friendly staff. Loved the idea to allow guests to pop down to reception with their cup and choose a hot drink from the dispenser, although you also have the usual room kettle with sachets of coffee, tea etc. 24/7 reception staff. My room, although compact (I did choose a small double room) was really quiet, the bed so comfortable I managed to oversleep one day (I must get a louder alarm). I chose the room which overlooked the canal basin, very interesting to watch particularly when it became dark. The hotel is right on the edge of the 'red light' district, again makes it easy to just walk out and sightsee. I made a suggestion about a 'tweek' for the shower cubicle and the man on reception agreed it should be passed on to their buildings manager - when I return (and I hope I will) it'll be interesting to see if they have done it also I hope it does work!! Thank you all for making my stay so enjoyable."

"Fantastic home base right in the center of all the actions. Modern hotel with thoughtful touches. Regular rooms are slightly smaller than expected but very clean and comfortable. Check in process was smooth. Friendly staff. Modern design and functions. The social hour was a great touch, free bottles water are very appreciated too. Super comfortable king size bed in our room. There are few things that could be improved, for example, our room was not cleaned one day even if we had posted the sign on the door that we would like the room to be cleaned. The bathroom sink draining system was slow (they might need to drain the pipe soon). The rooms are very quiet from blocking outside noise, but noise from the hallway is evident. Overall a good stay, fantastic location! "
