Castlefranco is a newly renovated castle overlooking the Arno Valley, just 30 minutes south of Florence. It was built in 1648 but it’s foundation with original olive presses dates back to 800 B.C. The house is powered by solar and wood chip heating, as is the pool. Sleep seven comfortably and eight with a slight squeeze. Fast Internet and 65” Television are included. The house has two kitchens, three fireplaces, a grill, 170 olive trees as well as some pear and fig trees.
The Castlefranco Town Square was designed by Arnolfo di Cambio in 1300, who had just designed The Duomo and Palazzo Vecchio in Florence. The neighboring town, Reggello, hosts The Museo Masaccio D’Art Sacra, which holds The Triptych of San Giovenale, from 1422, which is Masaccio's first known work. The nearby nature reserves are a hiker’s dream.
Other neighboring towns such as Piandisco, Figline Valdaro, and Faella offer a variety of bars, restaurants and nightlife.
A concierge will meet you and offer you nature and historical tours of the area.
This castle has two views to die for!!!
