Central location. Easy access, felt secure and safe. Apartment was clean. Down side was the fire alarm going off at 8am on Monday morning. No fault of anyone’s just a sharp Wake up call.

Great location in New Town with Old Town just few walkable minutes away. Tram & main train station nearby. Could enjoy Fringe, Tatoo, Film and Book festivals and come back to comfortable space. Loved the secret garden. Staff was friendly and went out of their way to accommodate. Will definitely stay again. Thank you Sonder Royal Garden!

Would love to give this a positive review but..the fact it doesn’t have air conditioning impacted our stay greatly, making “sleep” very uncomfortable and our time in Edinburgh less enjoyable. Having a small child we carried a monitor which showed the room’s temperature at 30 degrees. The floors are extremely creaky (2 bed 2 bath apartment) so you’re very aware if you have children sleeping. The apartment is a decent size and the location is very central but the windows are thin so can hear a lot, oh and part of the window frame came apart but was “fixed” by reception.

Perfect!

Exceeded our expectations. We were worried as we booked a windowless room at basement level. It was large, bright and spotlessly clean so didn’t feel at all claustrophobic. It was also very quiet so never disturbed at night. The apartment was very well equipped and all you need for a self-catering trip.

The fact that after 18:00 there was no one in reception wasn't great and the fact that if we wanted some cleaning in the room we would be charged extra wasn't great either specially since we paid a lot for the room
