Waited for 15 minutes at check in. Front desk person had left the site to get food. There was 2 others waiting behind us. He checked us in and then called somebody and whispered in Hindi to someone on the phone (rude). Translator I had open picked up that they may have given the spa suite I booked (and prepaid) away. It was only 9pm. He said the room was “down for maintenance”. Kinda different than what we had picked up. How could they otherwise have booked the room if it was down. Got us into another “nicer” room at the sister site next door. So packed back up and went there. It was a bigger room, not nicer and only had a single person jacuzzi tub. The other room was a two person. On complaint, they said we can leave and get a refund, but otherwise, nothing could be done. No trying to make up for issues. It was 10 now and didn’t want to pack up and leave to drive all the way home. So asked to at least comp the breakfast. Oh, sorry, no kitchen staff so no breakfast, which is part of what we paid for. The bathroom had holes in the wall covered by duct tape. They could have discounted or something for the issues, but nothing and not much effort or willingness to make right their mistakes. What a run around. I am disabled and can not keep running from hotel to hotel. I would avoid.
