The people were very nice. I couldn't get the tv to turn on and the man from the office brought a different remote that turned it on. Later in the evening, I turned it off, and then my remote wouldn't turn it back on. I didn't want to bother the office at 8:30 in the evening, so I just went to bed. They need to figure this out and fix it so it doesn't happen to someone else.

I did not have a great experience at the Palms Inn. The first room I was given was a bit shabby, but clean and OK. I unpacked, but when I went to lock the door, the deadbolt would not throw. It looked like the door had been kicked in and poorly repaired. I went back to the office to request another room. He put me in the room closest to the highway. I expressed concern that it would be noisy and he said no one has ever complained about that. So I took him at his word. Well, it was so noisy. Big rigs going by all night long, the bed would shake from the vibration of the big trucks. This room was more shabby than the first, broken blinds and the curtains did not close completely. Then I turned the heater on as it’s January and quite chilly. The heater was so loud that I could not carry on a phone conversation with it on. And there were no blankets on the bed just the bedspread. They say free Wi-Fi, and give you a password, but I barely got one bar, and it kept dropping the signal, so no Wi-Fi. I will not stay here again, and cannot recommend it. Surprising that it has such good reviews.

WILL NOT RETURN ..
Had to spend the night in Gila Bend because we couldn’t make the border before it closed a 8pm . .. we had stayed here once before and it was a pleasant experience. Worst issue.. mold growing on cabinet next to shower.. shower was dripping all night.. shelf was falling above the faucet.. made it tricky to turn in water faucet. Room was very dusty , finger prints all over lamp and furniture.. check in was pleasant..

This property is simply an old fashion motel. It is clean with no frills. The room was clean; it is on the other side of the street from the train noise which is constant in Gila Bend. I would recommend asking for a room facing away from the road to minimize the train noise. Most the motels are on the train side of the road. There is no frill breakfast offered. TV has over 100 channels to watch if that is your thing. We were there to hunt and didn't use the room much other to sleep and shower.
