Make the most of your trip to Glasgow by relaxing in our fresh modern and spacious apartment. It's great for solo adventurers, couples, families and business travellers. Recently refurbished to high standard throughout. Ideal central location at St Georges Cross Subway Station and walking distance to: City Centre; Finnieston; SSE Hydro; SECC; West End. Close to motorway M8 with private secure parking included. Located on busy main road - shops, bars and restaurants on your doorstep! You will enjoy use of the entire apartment with a large, bright and airy open plan lounge/dining area. Modern fitted kitchen and bathroom houses all amenities you should need for your stay including complimentary toiletries, tea, coffee and treats! Fully equipped kitchen with electric oven, hob, washing machine, kettle, toaster and fridge. The bedroom hosts a double bed with blackout blinds, built in mirrored wardrobes and drawers. Extra sleeping space provided in the lounge with a sofa bed that folds out to accommodate up to 3/4 adults maximum in property - at an additional costs advised per person. (Please advise at time of booking) We can also provide a travel cot free of charge on request for guests with small children. This is a clean and fresh space where you can relax after a busy day with great views of the city skyline. Smart tv with Netflix and wifi available for your entertainment. Iron and ironing board provided, airer and outdoor drying facilities available as well as hairdryer. Guests have full access to property and help yourself to use of all items during your stay. Make yourself at home! One cupboard in hall will be locked so this is only area you will not have access to. Secure access to building via key fob and lift or stairs to take you up to the 4th floor flat. Allocated parking space is also provided - access via rear of property please advise at time of booking if you require use of this so I can arrange access. We are now generally self check in/out due to busy family life. However myself and/or my partner Ross are contactable on mobile during your stay and always happy to hear from guests to answer any questions or give personal recommendations. Known as the St George's Cross area of city and located on Great Western Road - Glasgow's longest street - the local area itself is a vibrant and busy community with numerous bars, cafes, worldfoods and independent shops. It is on a busy main road and close to the motorway so please bear this in mind though flat has double glazing and is in a nice quiet respectable building. If you choose to head west a 15 min stroll will take you to the Botanic Gardens and Byres Road, along the way I would recommend popping into Munro's for a pint (a truly traditional scottish pub), The Inn Deep (try the haggis topped hot dog) and end in Oran Mor where you can eat, drink, dance or even see a play if the mood suits. Their play, pie and a pint offering at lunchtime is a great and different way to spend an afternoon. If you choose to head to the city then 15 mins will take you onto Sauchiehall Street and down into the shopping area of Buchanan Street. The popular Finnieston area and SSE Hydro are also within 15 mins walking distance so really does have something to offer whatever your interests. The best way to see the city is to walk and you are perfectly located here between the city centre and west end. Getting about on foot is a great way of exploring the local area and taking in the stunning sites and architecture Glasgow has to offer. Alternatively George's Cross Subway is just opposite the flat (less than 1 minute away) which will take you into the City Centre or West End in minutes. Buses are also plentiful though with the close proximity to city centre traffic can be busy especially at peak times. Taxis are easily available - black taxis on street and private hires which need to be pre booked. Contact details of reputable companies will be in guest info folder. Car and bike hire info can also be provided if required. There is a Nextbike Glasgow Stand just across the road where bikes can be picked up and dropped off at a number of locations through the city - you can rent via the Nextbike Android/Iphone App.
