Dropping standards in the fitness facility

Well, the hotel was lovely. The gym had a lot of broken equipment and missing weight pins for the machines, the pool area was filthy, The sauna was flooded with about 3 cm of water, most of the shower cubicles had broken locks and the hotel restaurant stop serving food at 9:10 even though they clearly advertise a 9:30 cut off. I mentioned most of the above to the gym staff but they didn’t seem to care. Thankfully, the room was clean & tidy and the bed was comfortable.

Staff and check in were good. The rooms were spacious, modern, and clean, although the tub area could do with a re-caulking. The mattress and bedding were pleasant. The building is a multifunction one with a restaurant, paid gym, and hotel. Food at the restaurant was US/UK menu. Breakfast was in the restaurant and was a British breakfast buffet with everything of a decent standard, although the eggs had the taste and texture of a premix dehydrated variety. The parking was in an adjoining lot and was inexpensive (Sundays are free). If driving from the airport, take the exit before the hotel – if you drive past it will take you on a long detour to get back to the entrance. The hotel is a good walkable location for accessing the BBC Centre, Scottish Events Campus, and Glasgow Science Center. The Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum was bit longer walk. A city bus to the city centre was available from a bus stop just outside the hotel.

Swimming pool area wasn't clean, 2 mugs and 2 glasses provided for a 4 person room. Breakfast ran out of food well before end of breakfast service and other customers turned away before end of breakfast. One woman had all the milk taken away as she was filling her bowl with cereal. Cleaner walked in on us in our room using her master key well before checkout time. Staff at front desk and in restaurant were lovely though and very helpfill and polite.

best hotel i’ve ever been to, check in was quick and easy and the staff, who were lovely, let us check in early. the room was spacious clean and the best was so comfortable. the bar is nice and has chill vibes. then check out was quick too and very convenient to have a starbucks inside of the hotel to go and chill before leaving the hotel. didn’t get a chance to try the gym facilities but i would like to try when i inevitably return!

Great hotel
