The property is in the midst of a refresh. It's about five minutes from Hwy 1 in a quiet neighborhood. Lodging in Golden is comparatively pricey, and this property is reasonably priced.

Enjoyed our stay at the Rondo Motel. Room was simple, a bit dated but tidy, roomy, and staff were great. Not much of a view from particular room, other rooms on the upper floor appeared to have some nice views, but the price was great compared to others. Located right in the Downtown core with easy access to the Riverwalk, Pubs and Restaurants. Would stay here again!

Staff was friendly. Rooms are a bit dated and run down but the bed sheets were clean and the beds were comfortable. Bathroom appeared clean but had a strong mildew smell. Great place to stay if you're on a budget as other places in the area were more expensive. I would stay here again.

First off, I will acknowledge that most of the reviews of the hotels in Golden mention the high cost vs what you pay for, and this was no different. The standards of 2/3 star hotel/motels were over $350 (on a Tuesday!) so I opted for the $255 night at the Rondo. The hotel room was spacious, a bit run down, old beds and noisy AC. It was clean and comfortable though, overall not a bad experience. The room I had was at the front of the building which just had one floor so there was no noise from anyone above, which was nice. There was a fridge and freezer that was a little smelly from the previous occupant's food, but not the end of the world. Overall not a bad experience but extremely expensive for what you get.
