Sky Chalet at Kicking Horse is your home away from home. Furnished in a Contemporary Scandinavian style our home is a premium property with luxury furnishings and amenities – and some of the most stunning mountain views available on the hill! Located on a quiet street away from all the resort traffic,

The Sky Chalet is a (4) bedroom (3.5) bath 2304 sq ft 3-level duplex that sleeps up to 10 adults OR 6 adults and 6-8 children with a King, a Queen, and split King bedrooms along with a family bunk room fitted out with custom built-Double bunk beds. The dining room looks out to the mountains and has seating for 8 people around the table (and two additional folding chairs) with 2 additional seats at the kitchen island. The large open plan kitchen is fully equipped for any chefs in the group, while the living room provides plenty of room for relaxation in front of the fireplace and TV while lounging on the large (11'6" x 8' 71/2") Bensen sectional sofa. Other features of the property include: heated tile floors, granite kitchen and vanity tops, European Oak floors, tiled fireplace surround, 3 smart HDTVs, Napoleon Prestige BBQ, and private Beachcomber 5 series hot tub making this an ideal vacation rental.

We are former fashion designers and design enthusiasts and have invested in selecting premium furnishings from brands such as Bensen, Eames, Roll & Hill lighting, Stylus Sofas, as well as hand-crafted, custom lighting fixtures from Hubbardton Forge to create a truly unique home. To ensure you have a comfortable stay, we have incorporated luxury touches and amenities that we believe separate our home from the rest:
- Down comforters/duvets and feather pillows plus Egyptian cotton high thread count sheets and towels in all bedrooms;
- Fully equipped kitchen with Henckel knives, KitchenAid food processor, Nespresso coffee machine (capsules NOT included) and milk frother, KitchenAid hand blender, extensive selection of cookbooks, and more;
- Personal ski storage area fitted with boot dryers;
- “Chalet” slippers for your use during your stay
- “Chalet” flip-flops for your use during your stay

The Sky Chalet is surrounded by striking mountain views and offers endless outdoor experiences. In the winter, enjoy the legendary champagne powder, hit the Dawn Mountain cross-country trails or grab your snowshoes and head out for a walk around Cedar Lake. Many other activities are just on our doorstep including: backcountry ski touring, heli skiing, cat skiing, snowmobiling, ice fishing and tubing. Summer opens up a whole new season of adventure –golfing at the nearby Golden Golf Club, thrills along the Via Ferrata, downhill mountain biking on KHMR as well as a visit to Boo, the local grizzly bear who lives on the hill in his 22 acre sanctuary. Looking for more? Try hang gliding, white water rafting, paragliding or fishing. Nearby Cedar Lake offers a beach, swimming, fishing, small boat launch as well as the Moonraker trail network for XC mountain biking or hiking.

Wonderful week visiting Banff, Yoho and Kootaney parks. Kitchen had everything you could possibly need for family dinners and a wonderful grill. View from kitchen and deck is absolutely gorgeous! Very clean and well stocked property! Highly recommend this property!

Great property, contemporary, luxurious, and with the RIGHT view!

We were 3 x families, and had an amazing experience. Not only that the host was kind and super responsive, but the property itself was amazing. It is just at the right distance from the main Golden town (at Kicking Horse) which makes it perfect for us. In the mountains, with the view. Cedar lake is few mins away which is majestic. And the property itself is ultra luxurious and clean. Had a great experience here.

Wonderful Location

We had a wonderful stay in this very beautiful house. It was a bit smoky from fires, but when the smoke cleared, the view was incredible. We loved heading down into Golden, and driving to Banff for hiking. I also fished for a couple days with a local fly fishing fishing guide With a company name of the Golden Gillie. Sure to book him far for a shot at some huge bull trout. We spent time in the hot tub, and we especially love the fact that the kitchen was stocked with a lot of essentials already. What a wonderful house!!!

Excellent space and awesome views!

Perfect for our family group of 8 + a 1yr old! We enjoyed the patio, large kitchen, dining and living areas. The bedrooms were comfortable. We bought a couple of extra fans for the bedrooms as Canada was having a heat wave at the time. We went to the resort coffee shop and grocery store, loved the Via Ferrata experience and ate at the Eagle’s Eye restaurant at the top of the mountain. 2 members of our group went to see Boo. Outside the resort area we went to the Golden Golf club for mini golf, hiked Wapta falls, Johnston Canyon, and the Plain of Six Glaciers at Lake Louise. Some of our group did a white water rafting trip. Super vacation for us!

Great views

Perfect location

Would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Kicking horse! The property itself is stunning, spacious and has incredible views of the surrounding mountains. It’s just a short walk to access the slopes in the morning, the ski out brings you even closer in the afternoon. The property easily accommodated a large family/ friend group

Golden mountain retreat

The condo was immaculate with a well stocked kitchen. The views of the mountains are spectacular and we so enjoyed sitting on the deck at night watching the meteor showers. This property is well suited for families or groups, with multiple bedrooms and bathrooms. It’s a beautiful location up at Kicking Horse Resort.

Great Family Ski getaway

This property is perfect for both downhill and cross country skiers, as both activities can be accessed literally from the front door. The "mudroom garage" was the perfect place to store all our equipment and the hot tub was perfect for apres ski. The property was extremely clean, well stocked and as advertised. The host was extremely responsive. The beds were super and to top it all off were those killer mountain views! Thank for a great stay!

Family Memories

This is such a beautiful property. Our group had plenty of space to spend time together, a fully stocked kitchen, and a huge table to play cards or talk about the day. The sunrise on the deck during breakfast is amazing and one that I will never forget. We had a couple questions during our time there, and they got back to us immediately. It’s a quick 15 minute drive to the town which has some cute stores and restaurants, and there is plenty to do at the resort village itself during the day. If you’re thinking about visiting this property, do it! You’ll love every minute.

The perfect house for the ultimate Canadian Rockies experience

We absolutely loved staying here. It was perfect for what our group was looking for. The house is modern and new, with beautiful, breathtaking views overlooking the mountains. Every morning felt like we were waking up in a fairytale. The house is clean and wonderfully furnished. The town of Golden was also a pleasant surprise. Yes, it's an hour or so outside of Lake Louise/Banff, but it's also a nice, reasonable alternative for people who don't want to pay more than double just to be closer. Golden has great restaurant options, as well as a thriving young 20s/30s scene. Driving on the Trans-Canada Highway from Golden to Banff was a breeze, even with all the road construction going on. The hosts for the house, Kimberly and Steven, also couldn't have been any nicer. They were always quick to respond with any questions we had before and during our stay. The only downside to the house would be limited phone and internet access due to being so high up in the mountain. But to be perfectly honest... we were on vacation and it was nice to just disconnect. When I make my way back to the Canadian Rockies, I look forward to hopefully staying here again. It felt like a special home away from home.

Fathers & Daughters Snow trip

Amazing place in an amazing location. Not only is the place beautiful in terms of design and decor, it was also perfectly laid out for our group - it accommodates a large group but very spacious so everyone had their own space when required. Steven & Hillary are great to deal with and provided all the information we needed to have an amazing trip. We will definitely be back.
