Unfortunately, my experience at the Coastal Inn Halifax was not pleasant. The continental breakfast was very poor — limited selection, and both the coffee and tea tasted bad. My room was noisy, making it hard to get a good night’s sleep. Overall, I expected better quality and comfort for the price.

Ok hotel.

Staff at reception desk were great. The hotel could use some upgrades, but not bad for a budget hotel. The continental breakfast was adequate but could definitely be improved upon.

Great place to stay for less money

Great place to stay but about 15- 20 mins to town. We had an appointment at IWK so it was a quick trip and needed a cheap place to stay

We had a king room that had a sitting area and a wetbar style counter. The room was large and allowed lots of room to spread out and enjoy the space. It was clean and comfortable. The decorations were mildly dated but it was a nice space. The pool was large, clean and had great hours.

Good option

I would stay here again. It is not a fancy hotel but it is clean and well run. Beds were comfortable. Continental breakfast was fine although the breakfast room was a bit crowded. I would happily stay here again.

Housekeeping was very slow, our room wasn’t cleaned until after 4pm. Bare minimum for room cleaning. Breakfast was also minimal, frozen waffles/pancakes, bagels, breads no muffins, and coffee machine was broken.

Excellent hotel for our needs in Halifax. More expensive than we usually spring for but in Halifax the price was comparative and the room was great. A sliding door between bedroom And living room allowed for privacy as we were a family group. A little niche point here but there was a great bouldering place 2 minutes away from the hotel so anyone travelling with their bouldering stuff this hotel is almost attached they are so close.
