This is a gem of a hotel! The breakfast was awesome. It's conveniently located to drive to Halifax or Peggy's Cove. We traveled with our dog and loved the little green space with picnic tables behind the hotel right on chocolate lake! We would definitely stay here again!

There were very unruly guests next door and nothing was done for 2 hours. It was loud, unpredictable bangs against our walls. It was very unsettling for my daughter and I. I called the front desk and was told security was going.

Breakfast was included, alot of choices, the arcade was fun, both times we went we were the only people there. The gym was a good size and clean. The pool was under maintenance, but not the hotels fault. Staff were all wonderful, check in and out were quick and easy. Free parking. Would definitely stay here again.

Best Western Chocolate Lake was a wonderful place for my daughter and I to stay while we explored Halifax for a week. Well located, clean, quiet, and safe, with a wonderful view of a peaceful lake! Would stay here again!

the property is located at the hill-top, it is a relatively short distance away from downtown area if you have a bicycle with you (able to get there within 15mins one-way); and if Peggy's Cove is place you gonna visit after your check-in, it is just around 40mins driving distance away from it.
