Really like this hotel. Unfortunately this time we were awakened many times with noise through the night. Perhaps because we were in a different section than we usually stay.

Architecture oddities made it hard to get luggage into our room. Had to portage luggage to get into our room down 4 stairs after using a cart! Great view bar and restaurant and staff. Breakfast was delicious.

The room was a good size, clean and comfortable. The service and the breakfast were good and the “lake” (pond) is pretty. The hotel itself is a little weird though. It seems like maybe it was a couple of buildings at one time that were later connected. The floor we were on had corridors that were tiny and twisted, easy to get lost. It was hard to move the luggage cart through the tiny twisted corridors and then you come to a point where you have to go down three or four steps forcing you you to abandon the cart and carry your luggage the rest of the way. So weird! Maybe the tower part of the hotel is more normal. I wouldn’t recommend anyone stay in this part of the hotel who can’t carry their luggage up and down a few steps.

The dining room was small and the hotel was quite full. It was difficult to find a table. The food selection was very good. The staff were excellent. The room was clean and well appointed. We enjoyed our stay.

We stayed at this property and loved it, this year not so much, our room was tired and in the back wing of the hotel. During our last stay the staff made us feel very welcome and were very helpful, this year they were very unfriendly and miserable it really made us feel very unwelcome, apart from a super friendly waiter in the restaurant one evening who was very helpful and charming. Overall the hotel has lost its sparkle and we will not be returning or would we recommend it to others. Very disappointing
