Very subpar experience for paying over 400 a night Cracks in paint, gaps in molding, closet doors and drawers won't shut properly due to misaligned. Wrong white paint to match the old white paint Horrible paint job done on bad caulking job. Faucets loose, wrong stopper in tub with a broken seal so water wouldn't stay in the tub. Toilet paper so thin you can see through it. We had thicker and softer toilet paper in the Navy. Phone doesn't work properly either. Oh and the cleaning lady didn't even knock, just walked right in our hotel room. I've seen better quality and service from much much cheaper places.

Pros: The hotel itself is very nice. The location allows you to be close to many restaurants, shops, and tourist locations (you could see the Citadel from our window). The rooms were clean and tidy. The pricing was very reasonable for the time of year (close to Christmas). The restaurant in the hotel was very good. They also provided a list of other restaurants in the area. Cons: The size of the room was much smaller than we expected. Due to the fact that we had studded winter tires on our vehicle, we were not allowed to park in the parking structure next to the hotel. Instead, we had to park 6 blocks away and walk back. Definitely check in and put your bags in the room first. The walk is also mostly uphill. So, would I stay there again? Yes, I would. I think I'd go at another time of year however, so I could better enjoy the surrounding area.

Overall great stay but not fully satisfied with the fact that there was a major power outage and we weren’t advised nor did we get compensated for it. We understand that it was beyond their control however we are their guests and we feel as though we should have been notified about the outage, the restrictions of facilities and or options to go about it all.

Beautiful hotel. Conveniently located adjacent to the Halifax Convention Centre. Rooms were modern and extremely clean. Valet parking was helpful and cheaper than self parking option.
