Staff were friendly and overall the room was comfortable. It was a little expensive but we wanted something within walking distance. There was some confusion over EV parking which was new. There was a minor maintenance matter with the door to the bathroom and the room was too warm. Thus the good but not excellent rating.

Room was really really dirty. We’ve stayed at the lord Nelson exclusively when in Halifax dozens of times, and every time we’ve loved it. This time however, it was extremely dirty especially for not being a basic room. Pretty disappointing

My family enjoyed a lovely stay at The Lord Nelson Hotel. The staff were wonderfully polite, friendly, and efficient. The room was clean and well-appointed. The front lobby is elegant. The location is very convenient.

Excellent location, this Hotel has been in this location for over 60 years as I was here in 1965!!! Even at 80 yrs, you can walk to most that is Halifax. This OLD place is looking great & still providing an great place to stay

We booked the Petite room for 2 adults due to the cheaper room rate. When checking in they upgraded our room for no extra charge. Staff are friendly. The room was clean and the bed was fairly comfortable, more on the firm side. Nespresso machine in the room and complimentary bottle of water. Lobby is beautiful. We didn’t have breakfast on site but the restaurant looked lovely.

Staff was great but there must be a plumbing issue because the toilet clogged on us and so did our shower. The public bathrooms in the upstairs lobby were “key card” activated but the card only worked after a certain time… very unfortunate
