We were in town for a Dalhousie event. Very convenient location, walking distance to everything and across the street from gorgeous public gardens. We were traveling with two small dogs, crated. The hotel has a lovely gift bag to welcome them on arrival. The room was beautifully appointed and the Nespresso coffee was delightful. The staff was friendly and the whole stay was exactly what we needed

Check in and out processes were excellent. We were able to do early check in, and leave our bags at the hotel after check out for a while. The suit and everything inside were clean. The hotel is located in a great location. Walking distance to great coffee shops, bars, restaurants, and the water. Would definitely stay again.

The location across the Public Gardens, near the Citadel and walking distance to restaurants makes ideal for exploring Halifax. The staff are pleasant and efficient and the room was was quiet and clean

We had a 'petite' room, and it was small but good enough for the 2 The bathroom was quite a tight squeeze though! Imagine your knees up against the toilet roll when you sit! The room was a bit dated, but it was comfortable and cosy.

Wonderful surprise

A few places to stay were recommended to us for this business trip. I liked the look of the Lord Nelson and was delighted to find that it exceeded my expectations. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The restaraunt 'The Arms' was great, the food was wonderful and well priced for what was offered. Pleased all round.

Pretty lobby

This is a very nice hotel. Seems to be in pretty good shape. The staff is great. The restaurant delicious with decent prices. The room is nice and roomy. We gave it a four out of five. It would have to be a little fancier for a higher rating. It I’d definitely above average. We Would like to have more outlets for chargers. The area where you plug in the charger is too close together. We can only plug in one at a time.

All was okay, but for whatever reason our room (420) was mot cleaned two days in a row. We came back each day to find old cups still around; no change of towels; bed still as we left it in the morning. Never had this begore at this hotel.
