The location was great for the downtown. Rooms were fine. I was not aware they don’t offer daily housekeeping, so you need to remove your own garbage if it’s food and ask for fresh towels if needed.

The staff were amazing - ultra friendly and accommodating. The room itself was the let down. All the furniture is old and scuffed up. Looks like stuff from the Sally Ann. The AC was busted! The room was very warm. Unfortunately the windows are all sealed shut. So forget about fresh air. You’ll be stuck with the moldy stench that everyone else has mentioned in their comments. The Resto advertises that it’s open until 11:00 pm for food & drinks. Not true! I called at 10:15 pm to place and order for pick up and was told they closed at 10:00 pm - for food anyway.

Obviously an older hotel .but Clean and walkable fr underground parking so we didn’t get wet in the rain . Parking however is not included . Close to waterfront and downtown .

Only issue was the dining room. Sounded like only one waitress showed up. Very busy. Only opens at 8 on Sunday and we had to be at curling at 9 so couldn’t wait. Another person came rushing in to help. We used grab and go but that took over 40 minutes so we were late for the curling.

The location was perfect for attending the Curling Olympic Trials at Scotiabank Centre. Close to plenty of downtown restaurants and pubs. Lots of Christmas events happening nearby. Room was very clean and we appreciated the focus on recycling and composting with suitable bins. This is the only hotel we've seen composting bins. Well done. One criticism...the furnishings are aged and run down. One of bedside lamps had a shsde that was falling spart.

Toilets are outdated, inefficient, slow to flush and use so much water! They need to be replaced. The sheets are always clean, but the duvets are quit stained and definitely need replacing.
