Loud, don't stay on the second floor

I was here to run the Bluenose Half Marathon, had zero sleep the night before because of a very loud party downstairs. This hotel was billed as THE place to stay for this event, as its walking distance to the start and finish lines.

Lovely hotel

Pros: Everything was perfect. Do NOT miss the croissants at breakfast, especially the almond ones.
Cons: I can't think of a thing.
Location: Lots of things within walking distance, including the waterfront, the citadel, tons of restaurants. There are steep hills involved so be warned.
The Prince George was lovely, and best of all, the staff was fabulous. They could not do enough to make my stay great.

Classy place with Halifax city life

The hotel service is great. They are across the street from construction of a new convention center. All work noise was kept to week days 9-4 while we were out exploring. Central location made walking to sites and restaurants easy.

LOCATION IS PERFECT Brandon @bar great!!!

Pros: LOCATION, service, price, staff!!!
Cons: Parking isn't included but is a good value!
Location: bars, clubs, restaurants, the entire city is at your grasp! Close to everything, its FAR FAR FAR underrated! should be more expensive for how nice !
Location of this hotel is perfect! You get a view from the harbor, its also close to public transportation That's very cheep. Its in walking distance of the best spots in town and the hottest bars! The bartender Brandon was outstanding! We don't drink but the drinks were outrageously good and we were hammered! My wife and I would tell everyone and anyone we can to stay here because its the best spot to do the touristy stuff and run the bars, or even just to walk around!

An Exceptional Hotel in Halifax, Nova Scotia

This hotel is located in downtown Halifax not too far from the Habor.  The staff is friendly and routinely goes out of their way to insure that your stay is comfortable; the front desk staff and concierge service are tremendous regardless of who is on duty.  Kudos to Chris, Doug, and Steve for all of your suggestions regarding things to do, places to eat, and places to go in the day and evenings.  I am sure that the rest of the concierge staff is just as helpful but I primarily interacted with those previously mentioned.  This hotel offers luxurious guestrooms, accommodations for pets as well as pet-free floors, a conscientious housekeeping staff, and a great security system.  They even provide guests with a "time to clean" sign and request card where one can select a convenient time to have your room cleaned each day, and request amenities via a checklist.  Early one morning I ordered room service and was served by a friendly server named Heath; he readily went out of his way to go downstairs and get change because I wanted to pay cash for my meal (thanks Heath!).  There is also a wide variety of restaurants, pubs, and clubs nearby.  While the hotel is not too far from the waterfront area, it is situated on a steep hill which one must negotiate each time you choose to visit the Harbor; there is however a tunnel which makes this journey somewhat easier so do yourself a favor and inquire about its location when you first arrive.  There is a fridge in the room but one of the few drawbacks is there is no microwave.  One morning while having breakfast in the Terrace I had the most wonderful conversation with a maintenance worker named Felix from the Dominican Republic.  I plan to visit this island in the near future and he willingly provided me with some great tips as to where to stay and how to get around while there.  Thanks Felix for the great suggestions, and for having such a great personality!

Perfect in every way!

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet
If you are traveling to Nova Scotia, you must stay at the Prince George Hotel in Halifax. Everything about our stay was perfect! The furnishings were quite nice and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and to accommodate any of our needs. The location was great. We were able to walk to most of the places we wanted to explore and the view from our room was absolutely beautiful. We could actually see parts of the bay from our window. I highly suggest this hotel!
