The bathtub was moldy and the shower curtain was torn, so it needed to be replaced. Overall, the carpet throughout the property was old and worn. They charge $38 per night for parking, which felt unreasonable. For the price we paid — around $700 for 5 nights — we expected complimentary parking. We also had to wait a long time every time we needed our car; it seemed like they were short-staffed. The valet attendant had an attitude and seemed overwhelmed.

Where to begin? This hotel was disgusting. Getting off the elevator on my floor the smells were overwhelming. Upon entering my room, I could only assume there had been water damage as the matte around the “art” was wavy and rippled. I never even put my bags down-every piece of furniture including the beds had reddish brown stains. There was a Kleenex on the bathroom counter that had just been left I guess from a previous occupant, so gross. I didn’t even bother checking for bed bugs, I immediately went downstairs where I waited over 20 minutes to checkout and another 25 to have my car brought up from valet. I in good conscious would NEVER recommend this place, not even to someone I don’t like, it was that bad.

The staff was the best part of the stay to me. Everyone was so friendly. The hotel was in a great and convenient area for us. It would’ve been nice if there was a direct connect from the parking garage to the hotel but that doesn’t even begin to overshadow the 5 stars in everything else from the breakfast to the staff. I will definitely book with them when I visit Houston.
