Summary:
Located in the historic carriage house is the Suite—a fully equipped apartment with designer touches. The Suite features one bedroom with a comfy King bed where you can sink right down into the luxury linens. The dining room comfortably seats four people. The kitchen is well stocked with a full-size stove, oven, and refrigerator. A full array of cooking utensils, pots and pans, and table settings is available. A traditional drip coffee maker with coffee and condiments is included. High-speed internet access and Smart TV is included. There is one on-site parking space, with nearby street parking for additional vehicles. The Suite is located just two blocks off the main street in Historic Kennett Square. A leisurely stroll will take you to locally owned restaurants, boutique shops, craft breweries, and more. Located just 35 minutes from Philadelphia International Airport, we are close to Wilmington, Newark, DE, and Lancaster, PA. Our local must-see attractions include Longwood Gardens, Brandywine River Museum, Winterthur, and the Brandywine Battlefield. Downtown West Chester, with its vibrant food scene, is less than thirty minutes away. The Suite is located on the ground floor with no steps required. Shared laundry facilities are available.

Disappointed in the number of gift shops in the area.We mainly came for Longwood gardens. A great restaurant to eat at was Letty's Tavern. We ate there 3 times! Great salads and hamburgers.Their pizza was also fantastic! Our condo was one of the nicest we've stayed in. Alot of nice extra touches! Mints by the bed, cookies in a jar, sparkling water in the frig,paper towels folded like a big bow! The bed and pillows were so very comfortable! Very nice place!

Perfect accommodations for a weekend getaway!

We felt at home at The Carriage House, and highly recommend this suite for your stay in Kennett Square PA. It was the perfect location, the unit was very clean, and the hosts are great at communication. We spent our Anniversary weekend here and it was fantastic to be able to walk to the shops and restaurants. There is parking for one car in front of each unit, which is so convenient for loading and unloading all the necessities (and extra stuff) you take on your trip. The unit was clean, the king bed was comfortable, and it is in a neighborhood so it’s a quiet location. All the information we needed for our stay was provided by our hosts which made our stay easy and stress-free. Great communication from confirming our reservation, through our stay, and clear instructions to follow when we prepared to leave. The suite is the perfect size for two people and easy to find. Thanks to our hosts for thinking of everything we needed to enjoy our visit!

Wonderful place!

One of the nicest we have used. Attractive space that is very well appointed with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Lots of little touches, and lots of pillows, gave the space a cozy feel. Very quiet area but super convenient to walk to shops and restaurants. Highly recommended!

I absolutely loved my stay in Kennett Square at this lovely VRBO. I was able to walk just two blocks into town to enjoy the restaurant. The apartment itself was wonderful and fit. All my needs. Service was fantastic very clean. It was also conveniently located to any of the gardens in the Brandywine Valley. I absolutely would come back here again.

Overall, a great place to spend a long weekend. The location is perfect for walking to the shops and restaurants in town. Quiet area, reserved parking spot, comfortable bed, clean, unit size is perfect for 2 people. Would return again when in the area!

Outstanding!

I wish all of the clients I have to travel to were in this area so I could always stay at this property! I'm sure the other units Matt & David have with VRBO are just as amazing! I'd be thrilled to stay in any of them! The area is gorgeous, quiet, and quaint. Walking distance to a bunch of non-franchise businesses so if you love to support local, even when you're not a local, this is a great place to do that!

We had a great time! Everything was clean and comfortable. The location is perfect, we walked to everything we did in just a few minutes. The kitchen was well outfitted, lots of linens were provided and besides a bathroom fan nothing was missing to make our stay more comfortable!

quiet getaway

Everything was excellent. Might be my first rental that actually had sharp knives and good pans. Convenient walking to restaurants, but we mostly cooked in. Everything was very comfortable. The provided coffee and biscotti were much appreciated in the morning.

What a great stay. The accommodations were PERFECT. Great location for walking into Kennett Square and just a few minutes to drive to Longwood Gardens. Elegant convenience

My wife and I enjoyed our short time here. Check-in was easy and efficient. Communication with the host was timely and responsive. The rooms were spotless and elegant. The bed was incredibly comfortable but we prefer a firm mattress. We spent more time out and about and the convenient location to the Kennett Sq. shops and restaurants was a welcome bonus. We would definitely book this space again and highly recommend it.

This property is everything and more. We were so thrilled when we unlocked the door and saw how charming and quiet it was. It is within a few blocks of Kennett's downtown. It was extremely clean, the bed is to die for, the shower and towels were amazing. The kitchen is well stocked and very well done. We both said we could live there. A huge compliment coming from an interior designer who unfortunately critiques every place we stay. Most don't measure up....this one exceeded my expectations. We will be back. Thanks Matt for putting so much thought into this rental.

Spotless Suite Perfect for Couple

The layout is perfect for a couple. There is a large bedroom, a separate dining area, and decent size kitchen and living room. The location is excellent for Longwood Gardens and the Brandywine River Museum is only 20 minutes away. In addition, one can easily walk to town as it is just round the corner. The place is very well cared for and the manager extremely helpful. All of which makes this a great little getaway.

A hidden gem

As empty nesters my husband and I love to explore new areas and Kennett Square was next on our list. Loved this walkable town with great shops and restaurants, close drive to relax at the local winery, and enjoyed a brisk stroll at longwood gardens. The location of this place was perfect for a jog into town or a walk back after dinner. This carriage house was impeccable throughout. The drinking glasses were meticulously lined up, the bed was extremely comfortable, the shower headstream was perfect pressure. The decor made us feel right at home. It's all in the details and nothing was missed. Thanks for a great stay and we will definitely be back!

The best!

This is one of the best VRBO properties i have ever stayed in, and I have been to many, and I do not give praise lightly. The property was clearly recently renovated, and every detail was thought of. The decor was neutral and uncluttered - perfect for a rental. The king bed was extremely comfortable. The kitchen was well-stocked with thoughtful touches like biscotti, my favorite seltzer (Bubly), coffee and tea. I think we might have given the oven it’s maiden voyage when we warmed up a Shepherd’s pie we purchased that day from the local Nomadic Pies - a short walking distance from the apartment. The sofa in the living room was also extremely comfortable - which I have found to be unusual in VRBO’s. And with the included ROKU tv we could watch anything after signing in to an app (just remember to sign out!) Matt was extremely communicative and responsive to any comments or queries we had, and it could not have been a more pleasant stay. The property is within a 5 minute walk to the small downtown of Kennett Square, and Longwood Gardens is a 10 minute drive. The only thing which might be useful for renters to know, that is not included in the description, is that the bathroom is across the small dining space from the bedroom. This was not an issue for us, but I know it would be an issue for some like my 84 year old mom, who would need the bathroom close by. I also noted that there are 3 apartments in the house - all on VRBO - which look similarly appointed. I can highly recommend any of them.
