The Mara at Laguna Beavh has been beautifully remodeled. We had a great stay this week! We walked across the street to the beach and could easily catch the trolley for free to go downtown! The staff was amazing and the view from the rooftop was fabulous!

We had a wonderful stay at Mara. Our room was nicely decorated and clean with a very comfortable bed. The pool and rooftop patio had lots of nice outdoor furniture and the patio has a view of the ocean. The staff provided excellent customer service, very friendly and went above and beyond.

My pet Vito was welcomed and that’s so important to us since we travel with him all the time. The staff was friendly. Rooms were roomie and clean. The pool and spa were well maintained. Clean towels were always available to us. We enjoyed the balcony and breeze that came in through back door. Agate beach was literally just across the street. So many wonderful restaurants and shops. We can’t wait to come back again!

Awesome corner room with its own balcony. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The only negative thing is that if you want to get onto internet for the TV channels i.e. Netflix such you need to have your own account information to sign into the apps, we didn't know about that so we weren't prepared for it.

We loved the pool area and the terrace on the fourth floor! Such a beautiful place to hang out. The guys that worked the front deck were so helpful and friendly We were not at all thrilled with our room. It was super dark and we had no place to sit outside. Our balcony contained no chairs and was halfway underground. The noise from the road was VERY VERY loud!

Room was messy and not the same as the one pictured when I booked. Bathroom smelled moldy and the flooring was damaged torn up in places. Loud slamming doors all night long. I travel a lot for work and will be back to Laguna Beach but will definitely not be staying here again.

This was hands down the most amazing stay we could have asked for during our last minute vacation. For this place to have only been open for 2 weeks from the time we checked in, it was smoothly operated and felt like a finely tuned instrument. The check-in process was seamless and we were able to park, pay for parking, and walk into our room in less than 10-15 minutes. We were greeted at the lobby by Ruben who is an amazing host that helped us navigate Laguna as if we were locals. With his advice we were able to enjoy the things around us that were only 3-10 minute-long walks away from our location. Everything was so conveniently placed around us and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay! Thank you Mara! Thank you Ruben! We hope to see you soon again!

A lot of trouble checking in. Told me room would be ready at a certain time but it took almost 2 more hours. Then they checked me into a dirty room. I came back. Waited a while longer. Then they said my room was ready, so we went up and the code don’t work. Waited more. Finally got in. The room was not impressive. Won’t be staying here again.

The staff went above and beyond in every way and that I appreciated. On the other hand, the shade didn't properly privacy, you could see straight into the room. The sink was cracked so water was everywhere and another sink leaked in the floor. The lamp i slept next to had cobwebs and the internet didn't work. I shared this with the managers and they never got back to me. Hopefully they were busy improving if not hope this review helps

Our positives are: The front desk staff was very helpful and the manager went above and beyond with our biggest concerns. The views of the ocean were gorgeous. Rooms are clean and stocked with a sound machine and earplugs to help muffle any street noise. Our negatives are: We had a 3 night stay and on day 2 morning we were interrupted 3 times with our door opened without our consent by maintenance and some inspector. We notified the front desk and the manager offered to move us from a standard room to a room with a view. On our final morning I had someone knock asking if there was trash in the room i could give him. This could have been handled after we checked out. The communication between staff and vendors could have been better. The hotel is recently remodeled but there are many little details not met. Toilet paper holder fell off wall. Handle on barn door not secure and screws coming off and not hung well. Door did not slide for bathroom privacy. For the location of the beach and cost of stay they did not offer daily room clean service unless you requested it.

Points forts : Propreté, service et personnel, commodités et état et installations de l’hébergement.
The hotel is a bit older and needs a little updating but we had a great stay due mainly to excellent staff, particularly Heather but also Hayden and Adali. They made sure everything worked out well for us.
