This was the second time I stayed at the Rio. The reasons I picked this location were free parking, off the strip and I didn't have to walk thru the whole casino with my luggage. I'm old school. I like to actually check in with a human. Unfortunately, corporations are eliminating the human touch. Customers pay for services they will not use. If you like views and a quiet place to stay, choose the Rio.

We paid a $25 early check in fee to have access to a room for resting after 12 hours of ttavel. The early arrival time was 11am, but at 1:30pm, it was still not available! We finally got assigned to a room around 1:50pm and were given the wrong room number, so our keys would not work! We had to go back to the front desk to resolve the issue. Once we finally got into our room, everything was ok.

Room was not ready at 4pm check-in. No ice bucket, no cups, no mini fridge, no microwave. I have stayed at Rio multiple times over the last 16 years, but this was by far the worst. Unfortunately, I will not be back.

We had a great time but the fridge in the room was out of order and we had breast milk we needed to keep cold; the ice machine worked as a makeshift solution but it was inconvenient. The staff was great and we enjoyed the pool.

The room was clean and updated for the most part but the handle to safe was a command hook and there was no fridge. The TV channels were very minimal. Room was spacious and the bed comfy. Casino and shows were nice and the food we tried was decent. Eggslut has great staff and a yummy vanilla cold foam coffee. Check in was a breeze. Will return again

Very disappointed with our stay, especially considering the overall cost of the trip. We paid extra for a penthouse, but the AC didn’t work in one room and could not be fixed, forcing us to get an additional room at our own expense. The room itself was outdated and not well maintained (door wouldn’t lock properly, safe didn’t work, worn carpet, damaged drapes). We also had ongoing issues with room keys not working, requiring multiple trips to the front desk. Service at the front desk was slow, with long waits and limited staff able to resolve issues. The overall condition of the property, including the entrance and doors, felt worn down and poorly maintained. Pool service was also frustrating due to ordering issues with their system. Positives: housekeeping was excellent, and the steakhouse was very good—our waiter James provided great service. Overall, not worth the cost and would not recommend.
