I was worried about the distance from the Vegas Strip however after getting there and then waking up the next day I saw how amazing this location was. You have the most amazing views and can go hiking or biking. I am for sure going to go back to this resort.

Upon arrival property was unkept. Debri littered throughout the landscaping. Trash can just outside the entrance was overflowing. No upkeep whatsoever. First room i was given reeked of marijuana and had a plastic bag over the smoke detector. Second room wasn’t clean. Hard to relax in a room that looks and feels dirty. There is soo much wrong with this place that for almost $200 dollars a night you definitely feel you’ve been taken advantage of. If no other place has rooms to rent you’re better off just making it a day trip to Mount Charleston. You’re money is better off being spent somewhere else!!!!!

My husband and I were married at the hotel in 1997. Back then the hotel was so cozy and the grounds beautiful, green and at night everything was lit up and absolutely festive and magical.
When we pulled up to the hotel, it was the sadest most underwhelming feeling we have ever experienced. The pond in front with a water feature was all dried up and gravel with weeds is in its place. The grass is all dead and brown and weeds have overtaken much of the once beautiful landscaping. The area where the outside weddings take place was sad. Dead grass and the pine trees are all dead, dry and brown. The hotel on the outside is totally run down and unkept.
The lobby is and the lady at the front desk was very nice. We arrive early and was allowed to check in before regular check in.
We stayed in the same suite as our wedding night. It has been updated a little, but not very good. The balcony rails are in serious need of a face lift. Whoever did the last paint job did a poor quality job, and the floors are a very cheep laminate. Not sur it is worth the 230.00 a night. But we had a great night anyway.
We picked up food from the restaurant downstairs and brought it up to the room, ate on the balcony and enjoyed the view. It is sad how the golf course that used to be in the back has now been taken over with weeds. But if you didn't know there was a golf course there before, you wouldn't know now. If you never experienced the hotel in its prime you will think it is okay.
