"The restaurant service is quite slow considering that only two or three tables were occupied each time we visited. On one occasion, I ordered a filet mignon medium-well, but it was served well-done. On a positive note, breakfast was very good, although the avocado had some bad sections that should have been removed before serving. There is also room for improvement in the common areas. Several ceiling lights in the walkway from the restaurant to the parking lot are out or missing, and broken lights are visible in the planters near the outdoor tables. In addition, some electrical outlets are exposed to water, which could pose a safety concern."

"I loved the view, the atmosphere, the music they played at the pool, the service. I will definitely be back. The only negative to me was the balconies were so close together. It ended up not being a problem for me but if other people would have been out it would have felt uncomfortable. Also, I did not feel there were as many channel options as I would have liked. These are only slight negatives. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and if I could have afforded it, I would have stayed longer. my balcony overlooked the boats and I could see the water. I never left the hotel to even go to the beach. It was peaceful and I felt very safe."

"Jillian was so awesome at the front desk! She is amazing and very helpful concerning all aspects of our stay. Jansen in the bar was amazing as well and we enjoyed our time at the bar with him. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone that wants to experience the excellence of an opal hotel. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast each morning in the hotel . We are not normally breakfast eaters, but the menu and quality of the food changedall of that on the first day. We will definitely be back very very soon. Thank you for a most excellent stay! "
