I made a mistake in the original booking due to the fact that my family was meeting me in Lisbon. We told them upon arrival that there were actually 4 people knowing that we would need to pay extra. The hotel said they could not put 4 people in a superior double room and required us to pay for an entirely new room on top of what I had already prepaid without crediting us. Funny part, housekeeping still only thought there was 3 of us as our first night they only left only 3 treats as the standard wlecoming gift and then 3 chocolates. They still clearly had us in the system as a group of 3. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms large, but we feel as if we were ripped off and the new room didnt have 2 beds. Be very careful when booking. It could cost you!

Nice hotel

Nice hotel but not in the city centre we had to graba taxi.Breakfast was not five stars neither was dinner and the fact that we had to pay 20 euros per person for 2 hours to use the spa was not made cleared when I booked.

Enjoyed our stay.

Pros: The concierge was very helpful and pleasant.
Cons: They do not include breakfast like all the hotels in Europe. It costs an additional 20 euro.
Location: Location is near train station and metro, but lacks good eating places.
We were there after a long trip from touring the continent of Portugal.

This is a terrible five- star hotel.

Also this is in the capital of Portugal. But the economy there is quite poor. The junior suit price is more than 900 USD a night is ridiculous , compare the better 5 star hotel in Shanghai: JW Marriott ,same junior suit is nearly half of their price. Today, when I check their recent price, it is down to 268 a night. This is their price they should be. How come to 900 a night?! This hotel is not in the center of downtown area. The people next the door coughed all night made me awake the whole night. The breakfast buffet you needed to find seat yourself. Food were not as good as it should be. No one served you for cafe etc. When checked out, it was a long standing queue.

Not a bad little place

The hotel is a very nice property with a good location, a few meters from restaurants, the zoo and the train and subway station. The staff is very friendly and outgoing, and the breakfast buffet offers very healthy options, as well as the standard fare. The pool is partially enclosed, offering nearly year-round swimming. The fitness center is also quite nice. On the negative side is the rooms- they are a little bit on the small side, compared to some of the international chains, but they are well laid out and if traveling on business, they are adequate. The rooms quite tidy and are clean enough, and while not exceptional, certainly on par with most other hotels in the range.
