We always stay here when we're in Marikina visiting relatives. By European standards it is nothing more than a bed for the night. There is no resaurant but there are a couple of cafe type places and a 7-11 outside where you can get coffee and other bits and pieces.
We were on the ground floor this time and there was constant noise through the night from reception. On first night we were able to connect to wifi but there was no internet, so neither phones nor TV worked properly. (There seems to be some refurb work going on). Maintenance guys sorted it out next day.
Got charged an extra 500php because the wife got foundation on the towels which they claimed would not wash out. (A bit cheeky but not worth fighting over.)
Room was clean and spacious, aircon worked and a hot shower was available (not gauranteed in Philippines).
Staff usually polite and helpful but some knowledge of Tagalog will help you here.
Fairly typical budget hotel for those not staying in uptown Manila.
Clean, comfortable room, but nothing fancy. Good Staff.
Good parking. Lighting was a little industrial as we have found with most hotel rooms in the Philippines. Table or shaded floor lamps would be an improvement
The staff and security were great. It's a great location with decent wifi speeds and very cold aircon.
The room had a bit of an insect problem with the first roach running when I turned the on the light. No big deal.
Followed by drain flies that made their way out of the bathroom and into the room. By the second day they were all over the bed and clean coffee cups.
Bugs aside, great place to stay. Wonderful park across the street. Plenty of places to eat within walking distance. And a cute coffee shop next to the hotel.
The room was very big, and the AC, TV, and bathroom were in excellent condition. Comfortable beddings. Good view of the trees and the park.
However, a physical bolt on the door (on top of the automatic lock) would have given me better peace of mind.
Other minor things: the TV was a bit too small for the room (a little difficult to read TV subtitles from the bed), and a hook on the bathroom door for hanging a towel or clothes would've been more convenient than just the towel rack above the toilet.
