Our stay at the Residence Inn Miami Airport (11/30–12/1) was extremely disappointing. The overall quality of the hotel is very run down. Our first room (420) had a strong odor that caused my son to cough, stains on the bedding, and hair in the towels. The refrigerator was beat up, the walls had visible marks, and the chairs had layers of dirt. We were moved to room 624, where a washcloth had makeup on it and the kitchen floor was visibly black and dirty. My grandmother’s accessible room (224) also had odor and cleanliness issues. The hallways and common areas had visibly dirty floors with built-up stains, showing the cleanliness problems were property-wide. Travelers should also know the airport shuttle does NOT run until 9 a.m., which was not disclosed. We had a 5 a.m. flight and would not have chosen this hotel had we known. We only stayed because it was very late and we were traveling with elderly and young family members. This hotel requires major cleaning and maintenance. Would not stay again.

Bathroom was dirty. Pink mold on showerhead, black mold on the bottom of the shower basin, worn out and ripped carpet in the room... And problematic AC as well.. Not very pleasant staff with one front desk individual not speaking English well at all. Wouldn't stay again.
