The lodging prices to go aww a concert at Bethel Woods are exorbitant - so we found this place online about 40 minutes away. The online pics make it look charming and quaint, but be prepared. It’s run down with tools and bags of cement laying on the ground and some windows have even been blacked out. There are a few unsavory looking folks living there that look strung out and spend the white day doing nothing but smoking.. you have to walk through the fog to get to your room.
This pla e is gross! I almost cried! I wanted to just sleep in the car!!! People smoking and smoking pot! The room smelled like varnish from the head board. The floors were filthy we were afraid to take our shoes off! The bathroom smelled like urine!!!! It was horrible!!!!
The motel was in a pretty quiet neighborhood, despite some traffic.
I didn't like the face that there was no microwave in the rooms, but the place was good overall
It was cheap in an expensive town, so I didn't expect much. The area was slum-like, with homeless people camped at the bottom of the stairs. There was no deadbolt on my door and the chain was flimsy. Most critical: I could see and smell MOLD in the bathroom and ceiling even though a lot of detergent had been used in the room. I was okay, but a person with respiratory issues should not stay there
This is a cheap motel. It’s clean, it’s safe, the bed king bed was new and clean. There was no dresser or hangers for the rail. There is a fridge TV, clean shower toilet sink. If you’re looking for a cheap place to stay while hiking for a night, it’s great. If you’re fussy, you should look somewhere else.
There are places to eat on a nearby street (5 or 6 restaurants). One was very popular and we couldn’t get in. The Italian was okay/fine.
The room was surprisingly good .
No frills to be sure but when a shower and bed is all you need.. you have it there.
Now , the weird sounds of giant pieces of tin foil being crinkled outside of the window was irritating. AND i drove passed the location thinking “no way !that can’t be the place “ zero curb appeal
Horrible, absolutely horrible. Found a roach in our room, sheets with holes and stains, insufficient towels, used shampoo. The deal breaker for every staying here again was the homeless guests. Our next door neighbor kept many of her possessions outside her room. I cant imagine what it looked like inside. She had at least two cats despite a no pet policy. I would have felt more comfortable sleeping in my car! If the nightly rate would have been half what it was, it still would have been too much for this dump.
