Disappointing Stay – May 5–7, 2025
I stayed at the Embassy Suites Montreal Airport for two nights and was thoroughly disappointed. I arrived late after a long drive only to find the hotel doors locked. The sign said to press the buzzer, which I did for over 20 minutes with no response. I had to call the hotel twice before someone finally answered—sounding half-asleep. A staff member eventually let me in without any apology or sense of urgency.
I asked where I could get food nearby, and the night clerk had no clue—something every hotel staff should know. I booked a corner room to accommodate three adults, expecting more comfort. While the room looked recently renovated, the quality was poor. The beds were lumpy and too soft, leaving all of us with back pain. The HVAC system blasted overly dry air, causing sore throats each morning. The shower water pressure was almost nonexistent.
For the price and the Hilton name, this hotel seriously underdelivers. Poor service, uncomfortable rooms, and a general lack of professionalism made this stay a frustrating experience. I won’t return and can’t recommend it to others.
