The Neighborhood:
The Parkview #1 apartment is ideally located near beautiful Mont-Royal Avenue West, facing the famous Mount Royal Park and steps from many restaurants, bars and unique little shops. Everything you might need is at your door (supermarkets, restaurants, trendy boutiques, shops, bars, pharmacy). Buses and taxis on the street, or Bixi station on the corner (bike share service in Montreal) will get you downtown or in the Old Montreal within minutes and the apartment is 1 km to the Mont-Royal subway station.
You could also decide to enjoy Mount-Royal Park literally in front of the apartment to: walk, jog, hike, bike (also cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ice skating or tobogganing in Winter) or visit by foot two trendy neighborhoods: Plateau and Mile-End because you are right in between them. Actually, youâre at the best possible Montreal location!!
From the Airport, you can take bus 747 all the way to metro station (subway station) Berri-Uqam. From there go up to Mont-Royal metro station (only 2 stations). You are at the apartment within a 12 minute walk.
From the apartment you can get downtown or to Old Montreal by bus on Park ave in about 10 minutes, on foot via the Mount-Royal Park or by subway within 3 stations.

Overall, we had a wonderful stay, and this 3-bedroom apartment was by far the largest (and most comfortable) place we've rented in Montreal. The four kids loved the bunkbed room, which is just off the living room for easy monitoring. The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed (including a large table). The apartment location was just fantastic--right across from Parc du Mont-Royal (Mount Royal Park). We brought our cross-country skis and skied every morning on the groomed tracks that wind up through the park (they also have skate-skiing trails). There was a ridiculous number of lovely shops (e.g., Chez Piko) and eating options (e.g., Siboire Saint-Laurent) within a 20-minute walk of the apartment. The Maxi grocery store is 5-minutes from the apartment, as well as many other smaller grocers. Parking was challenging, however. There's nowhere to legally park outside the apartment to unload skis and baggage. We quickly parked on Rue Hutchinson and unloaded before parking for the 3 days at De Gaspe Parking (a bit of a walk, but safe, underground, affordable, and it accommodated a short bed pickup). Entrance to the apartment via the digital lock was a learning process (hit the lower left button to 'wake up' the lock, before attempting to input the code). Check-in time was 4 pm, which was reasonable, but we would have loved to get in earlier to unload all our gear. The hosts were unable to accommodate our 2 pm check-in request.
This is a fabulous apartment in a great spot. Pretty much everything is available within a a block or two. Will definitely return when the warm weather does as well, but staying here in winter did have a resort feel to it... there were actual cross country skiers everywhere and hockey games across the street, yet still 10/15 minutes from everywhere we wanted to go. A true gem.
Cute spot. Hosts were communicative. Right next to Mont Royal park. Everything was clean ans the beds were comfy. Slept really well in the beds. Overall no complaints. I had construction on the road it was on which meant it was hard getting in & and out via transport/uber but thatâs out of their control. I would stay here again.
We had a lovely stay at this apartment. It was very clean, comfortable, and spacious for our group. The location was great with convenient access to Mont Royal Park and delicious food spots. Parking was a bit tricky to find, but everything else worked out great.
A group of friends and I stayed here and the apartment was perfect. With plenty of beds it fit our group with ease, along with a spacious living room and also a dining table in the kitchen we all fit around. The place was clean and as advertised. We absolutely loved the locationâ right across the street from a park, above a convenience store for easy access to snacks, beverages and anything you might need, and a short walk to so many great restaurants and bars. Would absolutely recommend this place. The ONLY thing is the entry stairs are steep (seems to be common in MTL) and could be challenging for people with injuries, but it didn't bother us at all.
Only good things to say about the location and all interactions with the host. Rental was clean and well stocked, perfect home base to explore Montreal!
Stayed in same spot in Nov 2022. Same high quality experience. excellent location, place is clean, communication around check in, checkout outstanding. Highly recommend as a location if staying on the plateau.
Nice plans with essentials covered. Bigger than I had thought it was going to be and had tall ceilings. Host also had a guest website which was easy to share with friends staying at the property. 24-hour depanneur just downstairs which was nice. Make sure you plan out parking beforehand, we used clicknpark and had no issues.
Our group of 5 (2 families, ages 18+) had a wonderful stay here while in Montreal. We loved the layout and the amount of space was perfect for us. We especially loved the location, which is just steps from the park and used the little grocery store downstairs almost daily. A few tips for those traveling to Montreal for the first time, parking is a challenge.. especially if there are events going on. We unknowingly arrived during a festival, all the parking garages were closed and it took us 2 hours to find a place to park (which was a 20 minute walk away). We finally used a local app to locate a lot with availability and booked a spot for our entire stay. We kept our rental car parked, and used Uber to get around the rest of our trip. Also, the stairs to the unit are quite steep, so keep that in mind if you have small children or elderly people in your group. My parents are in their 70s and we never let them use the stairs without our help. The hosts were quick to respond to questions, and so helpful throughout our stay. The AC units were amazing, but we would recommend adding a unit to the bunk room. The tower fans were so helpful (we came home and ordered two for our house) but, weâre from the south and used to having cold AC blowing in every room. We absolutely loved Montreal, and enjoyed our stay so much. We would absolutely recommend this rental, and would definitely book it again on a future trip to Montreal!
This property is in some ways like a dating app- the photo and description sound great, but the face to face encounter isnât the same. The apartment is a on the corner of two busy streets. A 24 hr gas station is across the corner. The entrance is a steep outside walk-up, of which I would have been very upset to find out if I had a baby and/or toddlers. There is no parking and no area to drop your things to get into the apartment, vice-versa. This apartment has been updated, for sure, and that is definitely what you see in the photos. The doors on the rooms are thin. You can hear everything through the walls, and especially with the shared bathroom. As a traveler and user of VRBO, Iâve seen many properties and levels of what constitutes clean. This had clean sheets and towels. The floors were clean. The throw pillows in the bed with two queens were dirty with stains. The throw blanket on the couch was dirty with dried up/caked on who knows what. The collected dust on the lamps was disappointing and the toe nail clippings I sat on, on the couch was a turn off. The people in the VRBO above us were up at all hours of the night and sounded like a herd of elephants. If I had small children trying to sleep and were woken up, I would have been very upset. The kitchen was very nice and did have access to what a standard kitchen should have. The apartment had face work done, some Home Goods accessories brought in and now makes a lot of money. The price paid for this VRBO compared against the end product was not equivalent. I would not stay here again. I will say again that the communication with the management was excellent and I wish them success.
Great place right across the street from Mount Royal. Plenty of things to do, places to shop and eat within walking distance. The botanical gardens are a short drive away and they were the highlight of our trip, so beautiful!
This property worked really well for our 4 year old and 18 month old. It was easy to baby proof, the furniture was beautiful and sturdy (no glass coffee table!!!), the room with bunk beds was very quiet and dark, and the baby bed and high chair were there when we arrived. Having Mont Royal and multiple playgrounds close helped as well. A really well thought out rental, with very responsive hosts.
The location is great, the beds very comfortable, the open view towards the two parks refreshing. The apartment is newly renovated, and is both attractive and functional.
The room with the single Queen bed is a good size; the one with two Queens is very spacious. The room with double bunk beds is a little tight, but it works. All the bedrooms have large, walk-in cupboards.
The kitchen is a good size and well laid-out. The are lots of plates, glasses and cutlery for all the people who might fit in the beds.
There is a steep set of outdoor stairs up to the apartment. My 88 year old aunt could make it up them, but some people might find it challenging. Just something to keep in mind.
The owners are responsive and available for questions.
We loved staying here. We had family in the upstairs apartment for part of our stay, which worked out very well. It's also a beautiful apartment, with four bedrooms instead of three.
I highly recommend both these apartments: right on the edge of the Plateau and a stone's throw from the mountain.
