Trip was comfortable and relaxing. Owner set us up and made us feel at home. House is unique and a story can be made in every room. I recommend you check this out if in area.
We were at the property for just one short evening and night. Seven of us were traveling across the state of Florida on our bicycles. The house is a log cabin and very rustic. A lot of personal items in the house and some maintenance is needed.
Overall we enjoyed our visit.
This place is COOL. We really appreciated the uniqueness of the property (fresh eggs in the morning--who can beat that?) When we did meet with the property manager, he seemed great.
We had a damper on our experience when the AC unit went out. It was really hot and I was actually quite worried about some of my students who were in lofted beds on the second floor. This might have been fine, but everyone who managed the property seemed to be traveling/far away, so we weren't able to get the situation fixed until the day before we left (so AC was out for the majority of the time). We had some students who slept out on the floor in the kitchen instead of in beds, because it just wasn't feasible to sleep upstairs. We also had a slight problem with water leaking into the kitchen from the use of the upstairs shower, but that was rectified easily enough.
Ultimately, I really wanted to leave a glowing review. It's a cool property with a lot of amazing features. The manager did eventually offer us a discounted stay on a future visit, which I appreciated. However, as this was a school-funded trip, it doesn't really apply to our context, as we likely won't be traveling to Florida in the near future.
Check it out. Appreciate it for the cool yoga space and live chickens. Understand that it may be a bit tough to fix issues if they arise, but if you're down with a more lazze-faire approach, you'll like this place.
We chose this rental because it was close to our wedding venue and we are so happy we did. The vibe of the house matched the vibe of mine, my husband, and our friends. Mark, the grounds keeper, was super cool and helpful. From what we were told they are continuing to build and add more to the uniqueness of the house. We definitely plan to go back.
We stayed at this property for spring break and it was the perfect get away for us! My husband and I enjoyed the serene setting. My kids LOVED the screened in pool with movie projector, feeding the chickens, the fire pit and the lofted beds. And our pup loved being able to explore in the fully fenced yard. There were common areas (kitchen, laundry, downstairs bathroom) shared with the caretaker, but he was a gracious host who set up a poolside movie for us, built a fire complete with all of the fixings for sâmores and let my kids use the virtual reality headset. The drive to the Disney parks was quick and easy and it was nice not to be too close to the more crowded Orlando area. We hope to visit again!
The house was large and located close to many things. The house has a dog, chickens and rooster as well as a caretaker on the promises. The home does have a pool but isn't heated. The refrigerator is shared with the caretaker so space is limited. I wouldn't suggest this home for small children due to the setup and missing child safety precautions.
We had a very nice country family vacation. The cabin is very cozy, well equipped and plenty of different spaces to enjoy a quiet and relaxing time. We loved the decor and peacefully environment generated with every detail and positive messages everywhere around the house. We even could pick up eggs from our own chickens every day, enjoy the sun every morning at the Buddha garden (as we called it) and sit down at the front porch in a rocking chair to enjoy the sunset with a cup of coffee. The town is small and friendly. The landscape around is beautiful.
