The Ellie was the perfect resort for our first time in Myrtle Beach! The property was absolutely perfect. We liked that we were further from the boardwalk. It was quiet and a laidback atmosphere. The kids loved the pool and waterslides. We enjoyed the fishing pier and restaurants. Perfect weekend getaway! Staff was amazing and helpful as well!

Enjoyed our stay but hotel is touted as a resort but there was no food service or drinks at the pool. Pool slides only opened on weekends on April breaks. Towels not always available at pool Rooms were spotless and staff was very courteous.

I would not stay here again. Convenient location but checkin is very confusing with 2 hotels sharing the same reception. The room was very spacious and clean but the amenities around the property included with the fee were horrible. The mini golf was run down, overgrown and had just a few balls all of the same color so not more than 1 or 2 groups could play on the course at a time. There were no ping pong paddles and half the corn hole bags were missing. Rooms while nice were very loud. I could not imagine staying here in season with way more people. I’d not be able to sleep from the noise.

My unique experience included a front desk associate named Carrie. She helped me surprise my son on his birthday. As I was checking in to a room he thought we’d have to share, I was secretly getting him his own room. He wanted to do it and asked her of availability. She covered and said they were booked up. He fell for it and surprise was made 10 minutes later. She was so helpful, quick thinking, and awesome to do what she did!

The Ellie is such a cute hotel and right on the water. I loved the smell of the ocean when I got out of the car to check in. We had a nice partial ocean view room with 2 king beds which you don’t see often as an option. The room was spacious with a balcony and little dinette area. Right outside the rooms you’ll find the pool with a couple slides! The parking was very conveniently located. We also liked how close it was to so many restaurants, shops, and entertainment! We’d stay here again!
