Okay, but not great

Overall the place looked very clean, but it had a strong smell of urine. We bought scented beads from Walgreens to try and take out the smell. Also, out the back door were a bunch black garbage bags full of what we assume was construction debris and an old sink. We opened that door to try and air out the apartment, but wasn’t a good view looking at that. I assume the place is newly renovated and the old stuff was thrown into the back yard. The smoke detectors were also missing. The place looked just like the picture, but the smell was not worth the stay.

Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy
Absolute horror show from start to finish. Zero communication in advance despite multiple efforts at contact. Inaccurate and misleading listing, access instructions, etc—while previous reviews cited the nasty smell and general decrepit status, they did not indicated it was actually either abandoned or nearly so and did not in any way conform to the instructions provided. Access was impossible, and a VRBO investigation indicated this host had failed to honor at least the previous 4-5 bookings. According to neighbors, it was no longer a VRBO property at all, but had been taken over by a family. Total fraud, should be taken down as a listing entirely, don’t waste your time or money or energy! Stay far, far away!
