2/10 â Terrible

I stayed one night at the Holiday Inn Express in Harvey. The hotel was clean, and the night staff was polite and professional. Unfortunately, my experience during breakfast was upsetting and overshadowed an otherwise pleasant stay.
A kitchen staff member behaved in a confrontational and inappropriate manner toward both my husband and me. She repeatedly attempted to overload my husbandâs tray despite his declining assistance and spoke to him in a bossy, forceful way. When I approached the hot breakfast area, she loudly told me to âmove along,â even though I had just arrived and there was only one guest behind me.
After we sat down, the televisionâwhich was already playing a Catholic Massâwas abruptly changed. When I calmly asked why, the same staff member responded rudely and continued changing channels despite saying she would put it back. She then raised her voice, made accusatory comments toward me, and shouted a religious remark across the room in front of other guests. At one point, she was waving metal tongs while yelling, which was alarming.
I went to the front desk to report the incident. The breakfast staff member followed me, and the front desk associate refused to escalate the issue or call a manager, treating me as though I was at fault.
This behavior was unacceptable in a hospitality setting. I hope ownership is made aware and addresses this so future guests do not experience the same.
