We stayed at the Hilton while I attended a conference - our second time at this hotel. It's an easy walk to the convention center. Lots of food options close by and an easy walk to the French Quarter, etc.

The pool was very nice and it needed a little more attention with getting the previous days garbage and towels picked up before opening again at 8:00 a.m.. Our room was amazingly put together each afternoon when we arrived back.

It was a wonderful experience to stay in this hotel. I arrived early and they happen to have a room ready available for me. I’m really grateful for that extra bit of service. It’s very thoughtful. My experience in the restaurant was excellent very friendly staff. I would hesitate to return.

It appears that virtually everything is now done electronically. There was no basic, printed info in my room, about room service, restaurants on-site, and so on. I got an automated email asking how my stay was going and I responded asking for advice on where I might get breakfast in the hotel the next day--no response. The other problem I had was that I was constantly solicited for tips......a sign in the room about tipping the housekeeping staff.....notations about tipping on every single receipt....even a receipt for a can of Coke. While I had virtually no dealings with actual hotel staff, I was somehow always getting hit up for tips! Tacky.
