Niagara Falls

Pros: Close to Falls
Cons: Improve quality of food for breakfast. Improve hotel to be a star hotel to be equivalent to the price.
Location: Location was ideal, and many activities were able to walk to or take a free trolley

We are glad you loved the location. We strive to proved an exceptional experience to our guests and are disappointed that we fell short with the breakfast during your visit. What could we do to make it better?

We took a girls weekend and absolutely loved this hotel. Adjoining rooms was an extra special feature. Every staff memeber we came across was very friendly. They ALWAYS said hello and how are you. During the breakfast they right there replenishing the food and helping if you needed. The hotel is just steps from the park and we could see the rapids from our room. I was very impressed with the location and pricing.

So convenient to Falls!

We really enjoyed our stay. The location was across from the entrance to the park so all our sightseeing on the American side was within walking distance. The hotel is undergoing renovations but our room was spotless. The free breakfast was good. Nice variety of food and the baked goods were very fresh. Would definitely recommend the Comfort Inn The Pointe!

Family vacation

Old hotel but close to entertainment and walking distance to the Niagara Falls. Bus stop in front of the hotel. Website said breakfast buffet but we were giving a $10 per person voucher to eat at the restaurant next to the hotel ( choose from like 15 to 20 items on the menu) No fridge or microwave in the room. Carpet needs to be change. Good to go to sleep

Friendly staff and a clean room!

Pros: Free breakfast, Free Internet, view of niagara river, close to falls
Everything was great. My only complaint is that the shower head height would be good only if you were less than 5'-4". The complimentary breakfast was good. Eggs and sausage, waffles and great donuts!

My party and I didn't feel welcome at all...

Pros: Quiet
Cons: Poor breakfast, unfriendly front desk personel
I travel for a living all around the country and have for over 20 years, however, this is the first time I arrived at a hotel and felt like I walked into a house of misery. I was in Niagara Falls, NY for a convention and opted for this hotel because the Sheraton was full. Upon walking in the front door with a party or 10 the woman behind the counter, who staff referred to sarcastically as Ms. Judy, stared at us as if we stole something. She proceeded to check us in without so much as a "Good evening" greeting. When we asked questions she was so irritated we decided it would be best to just leave her alone. When my roommate and I checked in the first thing I noticed was hair on the toilet, bathtub and sink. I wiped up what I saw then went to sit down. As I pulled back my bed spread I discovered more hair IN MY BED AND ON MY PILLOWS!!! I suggested my roommate check his as well and unfortunately it was worse. There was "PRIVATE" HAIR on his bed a pillow! We went down to file a complaint with "Ms. Judy". When we got to the counter, again, she didn't look up at me at all. I explained my findings and she said, "Housekeeping will be up to clean it". I asked what does clean it consist of and she glared at me and said, "Clean up the hair." and rolled her eyes away from me. I asked again, "How exactly is this going to be cleaned up because I just not happy with your reply!". She turned away and called housekeeping and I walked away before saying something I didn't want to say. When the housekeeper arrived she took on look at my bed and said, "Your sheets were never changed just the bed remade." She looked at my roommates bed and said, "His sheet weren't changed either just flipped over!" We were disgusted to say the least. To her (the housekeeper - can't remember her name but she was on duty the night we arrived. Between 9 & 10pm) she stripped the beds and the bathroom and did a full cleaning. We were so very thankful for her. "Ms. Judy", didn't utter another word to us to find out if we were, at least, happy with what was done. The next morning in talking to members of my party I found out they experience similar problems in their rooms and similar responses from "Ms. Judy". With all that said, I wouldn't got back to that hotel nor would I recommend any of my conventioneers stay there either.

Best hotel location

Pros: Free breakfast, Free Internet
I was surprised to find that the hotel description was true - you can hear the falls from this hotel and if the wind is blowing you can sometimes feel the mist! Staff was friendly and helpful. Location is amazing - took less than 5 minutes to walk to the American Falls and maybe 10 mins to get to the Horseshoe Falls. Breakfast was more than I expected especially for being free.
