Room 7ïžâŁ Studio in a charming boutique hotel, by the pool in downtown PS đŒ
A private and comfortable Palm Springs getaway - accommodating up to two guests. The property is dotted with bougainvilleas and blooming plumerias and features an outdoor pool, plenty of sunbathing and lounging. Studio that is comfortable and cozy with a hint of desert decor. Beautiful Queen bed, Coffee, Microwave, mini fridge & Free WiFi. What better way to experience the essence of downtown and all it's glory then a truly quaint, cozy studio just 2 blocks from the action.
The room was small which i knew when i rented it. However, it was clean and supplied with the amenities that we needed. The location was great. Right downtown close to all the shops and restaurants. Also, the pool was wonderful, one of my favorite spots to hang out!!
Everything was really just fine for me---in town for a wedding and stayed only 3 nights. The room is quite small being just over 200-240 sq. ft. Room for only one straight back chair and that held my suitcase. My other bag ended up on the ironing board. Would stay there again, 2 blks. to restaurants and shops. 10 minute drive from airport.
However, if my wife were to come along there is no way that we could both fit in this tiny space.
My time at this property was overall really good. The proximity to downtown and a nice walking trail at the Art Museum can't be beat! It's a very small place, but it has the basics for living if you're just looking for a place to sleep for a few nights.
My only two issues were that there was a cockroach in the bathroom the first morning I was there, and you can't set the temperature on the AC/Heating unit (it's just an on/off button).
I can't believe what we spent to stay here. Not worth it.
Location is great. You can walk right downtown.
Room 7 is way too small. Nowhere to put your luggage.
Bed was ok. It was clean.
NOISE! There is a door between this room and another that is basically painted shut. It might as well be open because you hear everything. I had to text Cole because the people in the other room had their TV so loud we could not sleep. He said he texted them to turn it down. They didn't. We ran 2 white noise makers on our phones and still the TV blared above it. You could literally hear every conversation and the person with the horrible smoker's cough.
Wish I had just booked a hotel.
We loved our stay here in room 7! The room is small but perfect for our needs since the location is basically right in the heart of downtown and everything is very walkable. The bed was comfortable, the pool was relaxing and very warm, everyone was very friendly, check in/communication was smooth, and the property was clean.
Only recommendation is that they could place curtains or blinds over the front door. It currently has frosted glass windows which work for privacy, but they let in a lot of light which made it a little difficult to sleep.
Overall, would definitely recommend!
Plumbing issue prior to us checking in. Manager kept us updated all along the process. Ended up having to make other arrangements Thanksgiving weekend. Thankfully turned out ok.
The Desert House is NOT the historic tennis club, it is in the Historic Tennis Club neighborhood. The property is a small 7 unit place with rooms situated around a pool. There are misters around the pool area. The location is excellent, 2 blocks from downtown and all the restaurants & shops. If I came back I would stay in one of the units with a kitchen, you would have much more room, 4 units have kitchens, unit 7 is just a studio with very small fridge and microwave, no place to really sit except bed. Staff and prop mgr very helpful.
The room was exactly what is pictured. Clean, comfortable, and located within walking distance to everything. P.S. Art museum, shops, restaurants etc...will definitely stay again.
The property is within close walking distance to Palm Blvd, restaurants, museums, shopping etc in a private secure setting away from the hustle & bussle. The room we had needs some updating but had all the amenities needed for our threee day stay.
