This unique small town on the Main Line offers tons of amenities on its own, all within walking distance; 3 coffee shops, the Bryn Mawr movie theatre, over a dozen restaurants and bars, a post office and the Bryn Mawr train station. Being a hearty college town, you have great access to academia. Of course, the area is rich in the nation's history. Take quick day trip to Valley Forge or a train ride to Philadelphia's historic district to see the Liberty Bell.
The apartment is on the second floor at the top of a set of stairs (sorry, no elevator) and opens into a long hallway feeding the kitchen and living room.
The main train station is just 3 blocks away, and the bus stops at the opposite end of the block. Uber is always available too.
We had a nice stay at Dave's place. It was small but suited our needs fine. The kitchen had enough of the things we needed for our short time there. Everything was clean but the bathroom was a bit dated and didn't feel sparkling clean. Definitely on a busy road, but the traffic noises weren't particularly bad and each room had a white noise machine (which we didn't even need to use). Overall a good place to land!
Clean and comfortable /adequate /enough space for our needs. Not many supplies in kitchen. Bed linens should be replaced! Hot water was sparse and took 10 minutes in tub and kitchen and bathroom sinks. Fabric softener on bed linens stunk very bad. Beds not very comfortable.
Property is very comfortable is decorated very comfortably was extremely clean. The kitchen is large and set up well there was even a Keurig machine.
We didnât have any issue with the parking
We left our car on the street overnight for free
Thereâs a long staircase going up to it, but it wasnât A problem for us and it is on an intersection corner, but again wasnât an issue for us
100% stay there again
The apartment was well appointed and nicely decorated. Pay attention to the host's reiteration regarding the stairs. The stairs are steep, so just know that. I would not recommend for families with small children; middle school and above would be ok. This is becuase of the steep stairway. There really is no way to secure that area. The apartment is divides in it's living space and you have to go into the stairwell area to get to the kitchen and the small third bedroom with the twin bed. Fine for older kids. Each bedroom and the living room have air conditioners that work well to cool the space. The ACs drum out all the street noise; I'm not sure if it might be noisy once school starts and the college students are in place. Parking is difficult. Metered out front; you might be able to find a free space nearby.
This is a clean, comfortable and well-appointed rental. The manager was cordial and attentive. The only downside was that there was significant traffic noise that rose well above the ability of the provided white noise generator to cover it. If you are accustomed to urban traffic noise it should not be a problem. The sheets were strongly scented from washing which might be an issue for some.
