Amazing experience

Definitely a Westin at its best. A great combination of a High end hotel with a comfort and convenience that a "Villas" can offer. If you have kids, this is the place to stay. You can enjoy the villas and still use a lot of the amenities in the main hotel. I Strongly recommend!

Thank you for staying with us. I know many of our guests enjoy the close shopping and dining options close by. We also have a shuttle that will take you to the Kierland Commons and the adjacent Westin Kierland Resort.

Class act villas at Kierland.

Pros: The service, the ambience, the happy staff, the seasonal decorations.
Cons: I should have requested a second luggage rack; two people, two racks.
Location: Saw the new aquarium, Odysea in Scottsdale. Incredible, worth the high price to get in.
Second year staying there and loved it. Everyone is professional with not an attitude among them..Must be well managed. The golf course area is beautiful. We were there for a Mayo Clinic Conference 4 days (my daughter attended). I hung out around the place, relaxing. Very quiet place. My daughter did not want to leave, neither did I. Good job villa staff!

Second Visit

Pros: The Villas offer spacious rooms with separate bedroom area. Fully equipped kitchen and separate "relaxation" pool.
Cons: There are minimal dining options at the Villas but plenty of restaurants nearby so not really an issue.
Location: Great location with plenty of shopping nearby along with areas for hiking in the mountains.
Second time we stayed at this facility within a year. Staff has been very pleasant and helpful. Did not attend the vacation club presentation this time and there was no pressure to do so.

The Villas were an unexpected suprise

We thought we were staying at the Westin Kierland hotel and when I went to check in the lady told me we where staying at the Villas which were a few blocks away. My heart sank, I thought for sure it would be lower quality than the main hotel. We checked in at the Villas and were immediately impressed with the staff, they were friendly and welcoming. When we entered our room I was so happy and relieved. We had a one bedroom Villa with a large bathroom, patio with furniture, comfy king size bed, sofa bed for our son, DVD player for the TV, washer/dryer, dining room table, and a perfect size kitchen. The kitchen had a refrigerator, dishwasher, plates, utensils, coffee pot, pots, pans, everything you would need to cook right in your room. We were able to have a few dinners in our room, we washed clothes everyday and were able to go home with all our clothes clean. There were two pools, one was geared towards adult and the other for kids. There was a nice sized water slide, basketball hoop and volleyball net in the pool. The lifeguards had games and fun things to do throughout the day. Our 13 year old son enjoyed it and so did we. The Villas had a shuttle that would take us to the main hotel so we could use the bigger pool with the lazy river. The shuttle was so convenient and even took us to the Kierland Commons and Scottsdale Quarter so we could shop and have dinner without having to drive and find a place to park. This was our first real vacation in 10 years and cannot wait to go back to Scottsdale and stay at the Villas again.

Third time not so much a charm

Pros: Close restaurants, Quiet
Cons: No free Internet
This was our third stay at the Kierland. That in itself says something, we really enjoy the Kierland. This time, however, was less impressive. We've always loved the kitchens with the full sized refrigerators, and we especially look forward to the lovely big showers and the oversized soaking tubs. To be fair, we arrived early an requested the first available room, but this time we ended up with a smaller kitchen, half sized fridge and a tub/shower combo. Not the romantic bath we have become accustomed to at the Kierland. To top it off, the step out of the tub was treacherous. If I were not in good shape, I would be fearful. We've always loved Westins and the Kierland Villas is our favorite Scottsdale retreat, but this particular room was not what we expected. The times we have stayed there before will have us returning with hopes of the same marvelous rooms we have had before.

Convenience and comfort

Pros: Close restaurants, Quiet
This was our second stay at The Westin Kierland Villas Scottsdale and was as great as the first. The rooms are spacious, with a nice kitchen with full refrigerator with ice maker. The bathroom comes with an whirlpool tub that is great for relaxing before falling into the Heavenly Bed at night. The villa is beautifully and comfortably furnished. The resort is right by the Scottsdale Quarter; lots of terrific shopping and entertainment. It is also convenient to the 101 which makes travel to other areas in Phoenix as easy as possible. Property was also well laid out, there is always plenty of parking close to the building. This is our favorite spot to stay in the Phoenix area.
