Overall a fabulous hotel. Great staff, very helpful. Awesome location, within easy walking distance to Old Quebec restaurants, shopping and attractions. Loved the two queen bed suite with the balcony overlooking the pool and the massive tv with aquarium fish loop playing. The only negative was we didnt care for the coffee maker and would prefer a Kuerig Kcup instead plus larger fridge.

We like the area where the Hotel is situated. It is close to everything including Old Quebec and love the indoor pool in the center of the Hotel. We were though, disappointed that the Hot Tub was out of order for all of our 3-night stay. But overall, we really love the property.

Great spot to stay, five minutes from the old city, 10 minutes from the train station, everything is within walking distance, facility is showing a bit of age, but has become almost classic in its appeal!

15% de pourboire minimum est insultant pour un bif

On a mangé le buffet déjeuner; suggérer un pourboire de 15% pour un buffet est insultant; c'est moi qui fait le service alors un tel pourboire est insultant. Bien sûr j'aurais pu ne rien donner mais le sentiment de culpabilité résultant fait que l'on donne quand même le 15%.

Not the best experience

Unfortunately Right from the beginning it didn’t start well. There was no parking available. I drove around the parking garage at the hotel just to be charged 2.50$ for nothing. They when I went to the reception the person at the front was a bit condescending saying what do you expect for Quebec City. I asked if they knew of any other parking available since I was not familiar with the area. I was given very vague directions so I went and drove around for an hour and tried 3different parking garages and they were all full. When I came back I asked if I could just leave my car parked at the front out of the way and go back out in about an hour to see if any parking had freed up - I was just told no. And no one seemed to care when I said we were just driving for 5hrs to get here and my daughter was feeling under the weather and we had not had dinner yet. I was not impressed but contained my self and went back out. Drove for another 30 minutes to find a garage but no where near the hotel. I had to taxi back. open pool area and live band on Saturday night is a cool idea. However the sound was not crisp and too loud so it was hard to hear the lyrics when the guy was signing. Which was toobad because he actually was good at signing. Our room had no heat it took two different maintenance guys on different shifts to fix it. So that was kind of annoying. The first guy seem to think he fixed it and told us it would slowly heat up. After 4hrs it had only gone up .5 degrees.

I loved the property and the location. The staff were also friendly. And the fact that it had a pool and hot tub. However, the hot tub jets weren’t working and the water didn’t seem to be circulating. Also, the hotel wasn’t as clean as I would have expected. There was dust all over the glass table in the lobby and there was debris in the room behind the nightstands which we noticed because we dropped something behind the nightstand. It’s a lovely hotel but needs some attention to detail regarding upkeep.

My family and I loved our time at Hotel Palace Royal. This was our first time as a family in Quebec City and we are so happy we choose this property to stay at, close to everything you could want! We are already talking about coming back!
